Bizarre.

To that one person who felt the need to log in and up vote my version of R4-A14
and vote on absolutely nothing else: Ummm, Thank you.
I'm a bit bummed TC-4 and Death Mark won in their original forms. Gabe I promise this is nothing against you so I hope you don't take it personally, because obviously people like your stuff. But as has been discussed, the fact that they are nearly identical abilities to existing ones doesn't excite me whereas some of the alternative entries put forward really seemed to differentiate them a good bit. Either way, should be interesting I'm sure.

I believe that people didn't understand what they were voting for. It looks like many people went through and down voted all the version of a card, that they didn't like from the beginning, as though they could still knock them out. If people had been told something like "one of these cards in each set is going through, you are choosing which one" then IMO the results would have been very different. I got a lot of wins again simply because my versions got the least negative results. - "Bizarre."I'm a bit bummed TC-4 and Death Mark won in their original forms. Ya I noticed that as well and that was a bit perplexing. Perhaps next round the correct way to do it would be (if Google Docs has this capability) to have all options placed before the voter and ask, "Of these entries, which do you believe is the best option for the final version of this card?"
Yeah the wording of the question could have been better, so that those who weren't following the competition closely would have better understood how the voting would impact the outcome
There actually seems to be one person who voted strongly dislike on all pilots ![]()

lol haters gonna hate xD
Out of curiosity, how many of you plan to play in the CCL Vassal tournament?
Ill be playing
I'm thinking I should be able to.
So, one issue has come up that we should talk about-
Aeron Azzameen vs Chewie, ORS
The problem here is that AA has an enormous price discount from a comparable YT-1300 pilot. Chewie has one more hit point than AA. Their abilities are comparable in power, if AA's ability is not simply better. I'm worried that this is simply too good of a card to put into the vassal extension without some discussion.
Is there anyone who thinks this is fine as is, in terms of price?
I think it should be much closer to Chewie's cost, maybe 40-41 points.
Agreed. Could probably get away with 40 points. Or else revert the stats to the original versions (same as ors iirc) and keep the 30 points

Ya as nice as the voting is at getting the community involved, I think there really needs to be some type of committee that works on getting these cards where they need to be before implementation in the end process. It seems odd that everyone who is discussing these cards right now, even the original creator of some of the cards, don't feel the optimal iteration was accepted.
AA looks to me like he needs to cost at least 36, probably closer to 40.
Can't believe that wasn't caught. Yeah, there's no way i'm playing in a league with that card, it's 10-12 points undercosted.
The loss of a missile and one HP doesnt call for a 12 point reduction in cost over chewie. Arguably Aeron's ability is far superior to Chewie's as well.
I think we're seeing what i was sort of afraid of, is that super OP or senseless cards got accepted through the community vote that shouldnt have been.
Edited by Razgriz25thinfI'll wait for a while for Gabe to pop in and comment, but so far I think it's clear that there needs to be an adjustment for this card for the sake of balance in the vassal league. It's possible the 3 attack is actually a typo, looking at the original submission.

I actually caught it, just not until after it had already gone to voting (I commented on it in this thread). My guess is people (like me when he first submitted the card) didn't notice that it'd bumped up the stats but not the cost. When I looked at it originally, I mostly just lookeda t the ability since that's what his comment talked about having changed.

Yeah; I figured people would notice the stats, or see your comment and vote accordingly Seems that didn't happen!
OK, I'm going to put up a voting doc shortly to adjust AA. I'll give a range of point costs to choose from, and an option to drop the attack to 2 and keep the current cost.
Here's the link to the form: AA adjustment
I'll take the average point cost from these results, or if there are a lot of votes for the stat adjustment (40%+), I'll do that instead.
Edited by BabaganooshI think if you gt the stat adjustment to 2 attack it should drop it to 4 shields as well to match the ORS stats
Honestly I'm not sure this poll will get much traction because the issue isn't major in the grand scheme of things. I think Babaganoosh you should just veto the card and make adjustments however you feel necessary.
