Aeron is not in since there was no competition.
TBC should have been in, and I've gone back and fixed that.

I don't know how the wrong link got in there but this is the right card.

Totally missed the alt version of aeron gaining an attack die (on a pwt) and 2 health and costing 1 point less at 30 points...
I actually like that version of the ship, but its waaay too cheap. Cheeie with only 1 mire health and a missile slit costs 42. Outsr rim smuggler with 1 leas attack and 2 leas health is 27. And punishing one gives us an idea of the cost of an additional attack die. I think the alt aeron would be pretty good At around 40 points

If you mean the second season of the custom card league, the stuff from this season stivks around (though it could get tweaked if needed after seeing thrm in action - if any are too OP for instance). Then we go through the whole voting provess again to add new stuff for that season

That's my rough intent right now, yep. But as of this moment the carryover is undecided, strictly speaking. It's something that I want to talk about with everyone after the vassal tournament is over.
I figure we have a few basic options:
Direct carryover without changes
Additional round of changes/voting after the tournament
up/down votes per card to remain or be removed from the card roster
Blank slate - start fresh next season

I vote direct carryover unless theres obvious issues with something being over- or under-powered to need rebalancing. It takes long enough to get through the whole process for the new stuff without having to do it over for old stuff too.
Yeah that's true. The real test of the whole process will be how these things hold up in vassal, though.
I think that to boot a card we'll want to see a pretty broad consensus, in any case.
I think after the league there should just be one more survey, asking players how they would rate ships, pilots, and upgrades based on balance and enjoyment to fly with/against. If there is anything that receives a vastly negative outlook by the players, it should either be tweaked or removed before next season.

I think the blank slate is the most safe option for future seasons.
the problem with the carryover is that you need to keep all previous seasons in mind when you create your cards (to avoid the stack of "fix" on some ship).
For example, if someone create a k-fighter title which empowered him but without thinking of the "aegis flare" & "warhead" of the season 1. Or if we vote during a season for a starviper fix which transform the TBZ-viper from this season in a wreckingball machine.
And if the custom league gains in popularity each seasons, the newcomers will need to read all previous seasons cards & notes. this, only to avoid a bad votes on their cards because they don't see a slighty variant version exist in a past season (in case like bringing a fix card for a ship we already fix in a previous season).

We can also use the survey to only keep the most appreciate card of each category, to reducing the probability of seeing wild combo appears. A kind of "Card of Season" pick maybe ? ![]()
I definitely want some carryover, personally. I'd like to see a nice library of custom cards build up over time, and it shouldn't be too hard to start with that list of custom cards at the beginning of each season and go from there.
That said, one change I'm considering is narrowing the focus of the custom league next time. This season we had a glut of cards at the first step, and then a number of cards that didn't have any discussion or modification in the second step (Myn Donos for example). I think that a more rational process might be better. Start with a goal or a few goals, then call for submissions to meet the goal.
For example let's take a popular custom card idea: an X-wing fix. So under the rational design model, we'd ask for X wing fix submissions, weed out anything that isn't a possible fix, and then start voting and development from that point. That might bring us some more discussion, and if we have a limited focus (1-10 cards), we could also playtest.
An X wing fix is just one example, and we could do a handful of concepts each season. Concepts could be either lore-driven or game mechanic driven, or whatever. So long as it is interesting.
