I haven't looked into the document itself yet, but from the article it looks like the Deadeye + R4 agromech combo no longer works, so yay for that.

"Focus, evade, and target lock tokens cannot be spent for their normal effect more than once during the "Modify Attack Dice" and "Modify Defense Dice" steps. For example, a ship cannot spend 2 evade tokens to add 2 evade results. However, a ship can spend more than 1 of each token on different effects, such as spending 1 focus token as the cost for Calculation and another focus token focus token for its inherent effect"
Interesting. I was doing this with Recon Spec + Agromech Jumpmasters because the previous rules didn't specify you couldn't. It felt a bit weird at the time so it's good to see it clarified now...
Wolf Pack nerf? Better late then never I guess.
Did you catch this about spending more than one evade?

Emphasis mine
Edited by Ken at SunriseYeah, but they also nerfed my BTL/R4/Blaster Turret Thugs.
Frack...i just printed off the last one a couple weeks ago too. Ughh..
And yes i need to have that because certain players like to not read the **** thing. Especially a certain Imperial player that keeps trying to use Wampa's ability immediately after rolling a crit before the defender rolls.
Also **** it on the double evade token. Thats a regular strat i pull with some Awings lol double-evade with Jan Ors crew the one thats likely to get hit. Laaaame
Edited by Vineheart01Yaaay! New rules!
Also interesting is that "Perform this attack twice" weapons now count as a single attack, so both attacks of these weapons have to resolve before any "After attacking" or "after defending" abilities trigger. So for instance Tactician + TLT only gives a single stress token.
Edited by OtaconWow, they nerfed Rudor a second time since release??
Holy crap - who was dominating events (or even using him effectively) such that the designers felt he needed to be nerfed TWICE?!?!
Weeeeeelllllll, U-Boats are finished.
Valen Rudor attacking with Cluster Missiles against Dengar equipped with Gunner and R5-P9 is a mess of timing windows and lingering effects.
Thank god they finally nerfed the broken Dengar/ R5-P9 combo.
And Palp Aces are now just, well, insane? Even more so? Cool.
Yeah, but they also nerfed my BTL/R4/Blaster Turret Thugs.
How?
P.S. ALSO if you have multiple abilities that resolve after attacking or defending then...
what does it mean to resolve 1 ability.?

Yeah, but they also nerfed my BTL/R4/Blaster Turret Thugs.
How?
Can't spend the focus to power the blaster turret and use the resulting target lock on the shot, according to the article.
That did clarify what we all had expected RE: Stygium and a broken cloak - if forced to decloak at the end of the round (after tokens are usually removed), the evade token granted is NOT discarded when going into the next round.
Was a pretty common sense way to read the rules, but nice to see it confirmed.
Yeah, but they also nerfed my BTL/R4/Blaster Turret Thugs.
How?
You have to spend a focus to fire the blaster turret. Before this timing, spending the focus with aggromech would have given you a target lock on the defender, but now there is no defender at the time of spending the focus, so no lock. A very unfortunate casualty I think, makes Kavil + Aggromech + blaster turret very sad anyway.
Gonk can be used to store and recover a shield in the same round.
EDIT; Ninja'd
Edited by InterceptorMadThat timing chart is not anywhere near the nightmare I feared it would be. Seems pretty straightforward and concise.

Yep, nerfing TLT to only one attack for Tactician and FCS just makes Palp Aces even more insane.
Not seeing how Uboats are finished. The only thing i see is the R4 change. Boohoo you lose your free targetlock you still have a buttload of other crap and shenanigans to pull. I havent even seen many of those on uboats anyway because people bank on vaporizing their target anyway so the Tl would be wasted.
Edited by Vineheart01Wow. If your pilot skill increases during the combat phase, you might miss your attack. That's harsh.

The free target lock was what MADE them a pretty big deal. There are a ton of 'cheap torpedo carriers' in the game, even 'cheap torpedo carriers that can equip Deadeye' (or otherwise don't need to worry about being in range of a TL during their movement phase). The problem is cheap torpedoes, fired with 'quality' dice - something usually reserved for higher-skill pilots.

The consistency on the torpedo attacks is mostly gone now though. The only mod they get is Guidance Chips...unless you now go to R4 Aggro + Deadeye + Recon Specialist. Then, going into an attack with 2 focus you can: spend focus to fire > roll dice > spend focus > gain lock > reroll any blanks with TL > use chips. Problem for that list is though at that point you can't fit three in a list anymore, so you either have to start dropping extra munitions or cut some points elsewhere.
So, no, it's not dead, but it's no longer either as effective or cheap(if you want to be effective) as it was.
