That makes me so happy. My padawan has learnt well.
Just remember to duck if the light sabre is coming your way.... or vice versa. I'm not sure which of you would make a worse Sith :-b

Submitting my list now. Played with it a bit today, and I like it. I'd strongly consider running Dodonna with it as well, but I like the safety net that Rieekan provides.

The transports push the X Wings around and act like medics. The 2400's act as mobile support. One with the corvettes and one with the Mon Karren. Typically run the Corvettes at 3 and the MC80 at 1, but ultimately they need to hit together (or the next turn) for maximum impact.
I need to get a move on with finishing my list... running out of time.
Errr...if I do run out of time, do I get doobleg's wave 3/4 Full Jar Jar list as an auto submit?
If I was allowed to make a second list it would be this. Steal it if you want
You know I just want to see my fleets flown.

Fleet created with Armada Warlords
That's incredible. Before I checked up on this I had just submitted my completed list... it's almost exactly identical to this one!
I'll post it up tomorrow when I'm not quite so tired... thanks anyway though.
If somebody isn't sure what to submit, and you're wanting rebels, please submit a triple liberty with a flotilla and Madine at the helm. They may just choose it for being the only one of it's kind. Check out the "Orbital Defense" thread under the fleet builds section for inspiration of crazy builds
I had several lists that I came up with that I liked but they all felt like something that other people wouldn't have submitted too. Instead, I went with a more aggressive, General Tagge control list with several Assault Carriers (yeah, the more expensive ones) to lend extra red dice on the attack, assist with repair crews, or command squadrons. A General Needa on the lead Interdictor (oh, there were two) was something that stuck out to me and helped so far in one test game.
Going through so many options "out of the box", I came up with things like the corvettes using the fighter coordination team and cruise missiles (aka Scurrg Bombers) or even a lone corvette with Adar Tallon and the fct abusing Han Solo in one list. I actually loved the cruise missile approach but felt awkward in play or turned out to be a point sink on the corvette. Imperial lists that focused on TIE bombers looked ok on paper but never panned out. Crit centric lists also proved to be underwhelming for the contest.
Well with time running out, and just about to leave for work I went with my rebel fleet as I could not get the Empire to feel like they (Gozanti and Interdictor) belong in the same fleet. This is the Rebel fleet that I put together within 20 minutes of reading about the new ships and this contest. With only one minor change, I dropped from the GR-75 boosted comms to change a YT-2400 for Jan. Anyway here is my list, and some of the thoughts behind it.
MC-80 Battle Cruiser with Mon Karren, Intel Officer, Gunnery Team, Fighter Coordination Team, Leading Shot, Quad Turbolaser Cannons, and Spinal Armament.
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate with Yavaris, Raymus Antilles, Fighter Coordination Team, and Spinal Armament.
GR-75 Medium Transport with Bright Hope, Leia Organa, and Jamming Field.
For my commander General Rieekan
“Dutch” Vander, Tycho Celchu, Wedge Antilles, Luke Skywalker, Keyan Farlander, Jan Ors
Total 397 (3pt bid)
Red – Most Wanted
Blue – Superior Positions
Yellow – Hyperspace Assault
Fleet basics
I move at a slow pace (speed 1) most of the time, so work to keep them in the front arc, and between Mon Karren, Yavaris and squadrons take them down. One at a time if I can. With Rieekan as my commander none of my entire fleet can die before it will get its shot.
Basic for each ship
Mon Karren (MC-80 Battle Cruiser) – With Mon Karren making it so that they can only spend one defense token, try to use the Intel officer so that the one they need to spend most will be burned. With the Spinal Armament bring it up to five red dice (six if concentrate fire) and three blue it is likely that I will get one red accuracy, that then makes it two red accuracy. Adding this to the Intel Officer try and burn through there defense tokens as fast as possible. If I get the one that becomes two red accuracy than I can spend one of the blue to reroll any misses or extra accuracy. Last thing is the Fighter coordination team, is to try and set up the squadrons to be activated by Yavaris so they can get their two shoots.
Yavaris (Nebulon-B Escort Frigate) – Main mission is to get squadrons in position so that can be activated with squadron command and get double shots. Raymus Antilles lets them get a squadron token and command both giving an effective squadron value of three. The Fighter coordination team is so that if they did not make it helps just a bit more, if some are use it for others that are not, giving more options on what squadrons to use. The Spinal armament adding one extra red die (bring it up to four) just adding to the fleet firepower. Priority for squadrons activated, number one Keyan with bomber and two black dice can do up to four hits, eight with a double attack. Two Luke only one black die so a max of two hit (four on double attack), but does not care if there are shields or not. Three Dutch one black die for a max of two hits (four on a double attack), just beats out Wedge (places fourth) as he is so much better at taking out enemy fighters. Fifth and sixth Tycho and Jan are there mostly to take on fighters, but with a black die (no bomber) still have a good chance of getting a single hit if the opportunity presents it self.
Bright Hope (GR-75 Medium Transport) – With no weapons (except anti-fighter) does not add to the fleet firepower. Between the title Bright Hope reducing damage by one and Jamming Field making squadrons count as obstructed does not need to worry much about squadrons. Boba Fett is the only empire fighter that can hurt it inside the jamming field, and then only on a good roll, drop blue die for obstruction, roll hit and crit drop one damage. Added Leia incase needed to make a quick switch for one of the bigger ships command dial. Also If there is objective to be picked up that is this ships purpose.
Most Wanted – Basic play, try to have objective ship as target number one.
Superior Positions – Basic play, try to get fighters around to the rear, ships keep them if the front poring on the fire.
For Hyperspace Assault – Keep Yavaris, Dutch, Luke, and Keyan out. Goal is for the Mon Karren to tie up enemy fleet letting Yavaris get the drop with three bombers on a squadron command get double shoots.
Whoops I just realized I didn't mark which ship was the flagship.....

Guys, great lists!
And also...
PITY THE JUDGES!
Pity those foolish judges who signed themselves up for this. Because very soon they are going to have to trawl their way through all these great list to find: Just. One. Each.
Though seriously, we do love them for it
Sadly, couldn't find a B-wing list I liked with the Liberty, so I went the other direction: fast and light.

I think
Turning up late to this party, but thought I'd throw my hat (or fleet) into the ring. I love the idea of this fleet, and think I'd have a lot of fun playing it. Whether it's got a chance of making the shortlist is a different question!
I call it 'The Mon Cal Wedge'. Plan is to fly it in a V-shape, and it's designed to take advantage of the Liberty's new, shiny and seriously powerful front arc, whilst also making the most of the Rebels' traditional side-arc punch with a pair of MC30cs on its flanks. Bit of a blend of the old and the new, if you will, all supported by some nifty little flotillas. Plus, for a fleet that wants to get up close and personal, it's got some decent defensive capabilities!
I can't wait to try it out on the board. Fingers crossed for the contest!
Here is the list I submitted. If I had had the time I would have probably tweaked some things, but I'm happy with it.

General plan would be to have Konstantine in the centre, flanked by the VSDs. The gozantis would act as support and activations if necessary. The Interdictor would slow enemy ships for the VSDs to feed off and using the Scrambler + Interdictor it can act as a defense for both or itself and another.
Edited by ViperousI submitted my list within a half-hour of it opening.
Unfortunately, I was so sleep deprived from my Toddler, that I can't recall what I did, or what I sent in, or even sending it in....

Completely different to mine! The tractor beams take away nav tokens, slicer tools take away nav dials, Konstantine sends them off the table....
Why are people using Konstantine to slow people down.....
