Fan Film Fleets?

So, has anyone built their fleet for the TIE Fighter film yet?

For those who haven't seen it, were looking at twin ISDs, plus one Interdictor. What can you do with those hulls?

Well, the flagship is an ISD-I, as we see it launch ordnance. That's 110 points... Next, we have an unknown ISD, so 110 at minimum, and an Interdictor with targeting scramblers, so another 96 (can't remember how much the Interdictor title is). So we have at least 316 points with just the hulls. Which sounds like just enough spare points for a Rhymer ball or (super extreme) TIE swarm.

Edit: Here's a list. Is it good? No. But does it get close to matching the film? Close enough.

Well, I think that to keep with the spirit of the film the fleet should have at least 1 TIE fighter, 1 TIE Bomber and 1 TIE Interceptor (and no named ships or squadrons)

Not even remotely a great list, buuuuut it is a list that conforms to what we see on screen. 2 CR90's, 1 Nebulon B, 3 GR75's (rounded up t 4), and 9 distinct groups of fighters.

The Imperials are harder as they -should- have more fighters but all we ever get is indications that there are 6 squadron icons on the tactical display. Otherwise there's 20 flights! And as much as I'd love to put together a fleet with 20 flights of Tie fighters, but we just don't have that many points to burn. And while I have enough potential officers and upgrades to make up both capital fleets, and I have plenty of X-wings and Y-wings, I don't have 6 flights of Interceptors and bombers. I'd love to change that, buuut not yet.

You still need some kind of ion cannon on ISD to disable that transport.

Aye, I originally had an MS-1 on that because it was a paltry 2 points. I only wish we could have a proper ion Cannon battery because, well, 'because'. Leading shots are nice on an ISD I, not sure if feels quite right though.

I believe that the main ISD is actually an ISD-2 (in spite of the missiles) because Wookieepedia describes the difference between the variants as " Between its two sensor globes, the Imperial II-class ships had a tower-like structure with vertical support beams,[1] while the tractor beam targeting array of the Imperial I-class had support beams running diagonally across it."

Watching the short film at 5:37 when it zooms in on the bridge right before the commander issues the order to fire we can clearly see that the isd is in fact a 2 variant.

i think you need to spread this out to 500 or 600 points to make this real.

that will give you the room for your base upgrades, and your accurate number of fighters.
