I have a friend, he's been vacillating on taking the X-Wing plunge as he loves to play my game. He wants the original starter set.....where's the cheapest place you guys know of to get it?

I'll wager that if someone could be verified through a LGS that they have played before, FFG could give the core sets away, knowing they will create a plastic-addict and get their $$ back in spades. I guess drug dealers already invented that strategy huh?

I got a friend of mine into it by using some winnings to get a Hawk, and repaint it for him as its his favorite ship. He was going to use it as a desk ornament and then I showed him how its part of a pretty awesome game. He now owns one of everything except epic ships.

Week four is the elimination week as each day is filled with tournaments and the lowest ranked will be asked to gtfo for being scrubs, no guides will be given to losers and camp git gud accepts no liability for loss of limb or life.
Week five is graduation week, you'll be ready to stand side by side with such notables as the Roanoke 8 the people who killed fly casual.
And of course we let you keep the rags stained in the blood of your defeated fellow campers as a nice memento.

This was how I got into the game - a friend had bought an extra core set, and gave it to me. Two-and-a-half years later, I've bought about 1.5 times as much as he has (including an extra core set to introduce another guy to the game at no cost to him).
