Where's the best price to get someone hooked???

By clanofwolves, in X-Wing

I have a friend, he's been vacillating on taking the X-Wing plunge as he loves to play my game. He wants the original starter set.....where's the cheapest place you guys know of to get it?

Thanks!!

Best price? Free.

It runs about 28 bucks on amazon

Back alley behind Denny's.

I got a friend of mine into it by using some winnings to get a Hawk, and repaint it for him as its his favorite ship. He was going to use it as a desk ornament and then I showed him how its part of a pretty awesome game. He now owns one of everything except epic ships.

Amazon is about 25 (which means Target is also the same as they price match and if you get a coupon its cheaper)

Ebay normally has people selling them cheaper. (did a quick check and there are a couple of 25)

Star Wars miniatures swap and sell (x-wing armada imperial assault) group on face book is a great place for good deals

Barns and Nobles has good coupons from time to time for 40% one item watch them also. ( I got my raider for 57 with a coupon.)

I heard Target has the TFA starter for $20 right now.

It's true I host it on an old military base in Scotland, the areas riddled with old mines so only our trained gua...hosts can guide you in.

Once inside you'll be assigned a snazzy uniform in black with white arrows, well start by building your stamina for those long tournaments by having you break rocks for 18 hours a day, but don't worry the gruel will give you plenty of energy.

Every one gets a shack to themselves with no roof so you can enjoy the highlands brisk weather.

Week two we teach you how to play by fitting you with shock collars and having you battle each other, our fair TO's will shock you each time you make a mistake, the voltAge going up each time as they tell you to git gud.

By week three you'll be ready to learn how to rules lawyer like the best, you'll be able to dq your enemies at will.

Week four is the elimination week as each day is filled with tournaments and the lowest ranked will be asked to gtfo for being scrubs, no guides will be given to losers and camp git gud accepts no liability for loss of limb or life.

Week five is graduation week, you'll be ready to stand side by side with such notables as the Roanoke 8 the people who killed fly casual.

And of course we let you keep the rags stained in the blood of your defeated fellow campers as a nice memento.

I have these by the way for storage. They work amazing and people have pictures on reviews for them.

Still 40 online but go in the store and they will price match amazon also check https://www.dealsplus.com/target-coupons to see when they have deals you might be able to double up on the price check and a coupon.

Also seeing you want to start with 2 cores sets this code looks valid for 5.00 off 50.00 or moreTGRDZRHP so it would pay the tax and the sets would be something like 23.50 a piece for two of them.

This was how I got into the game - a friend had bought an extra core set, and gave it to me. Two-and-a-half years later, I've bought about 1.5 times as much as he has (including an extra core set to introduce another guy to the game at no cost to him).
