I'm really looking forward to some Tactician TIE shuttles.
I might have to try five in a list. Just for funsies ;P

Still waiting for a new FAQ to drop so that Tomax has an ability that works in tournament play.
What's wrong with the wording on Tomax?
He says 'when you discard an EPT, flip it face up. The current tourney rules say 'when you discard a card, put it underneath the pilot card' so Tomax technically doesn't work.
It's assumed that this change is to account for Adaptability and its interaction with Boba Fett, even though the rules are 100% clear that discarded cards are out of play, even if they have stuff on their opposite side.
The Bomber fix that I really want to see is the one that gives Tomax Bren a functioning pilot ability under tournament rules. As it is, one-shot EPTs are still one-shot EPTs on him.
Care to elaborate ?
- Tomax: Once per round, after you discard an [Pilot] Upgrade card, flip that card faceup.
- Crack Shot: When attacking a ship inside your firing arc, at the start of the "Compare Results" step, you may discard this card to cancel 1 of the defender's results.
- Tournament Rules: Discarded Cards
When a player is instructed to discard a Ship card or Upgrade card, he flips
it facedown instead. Facedown Ship and Upgrade cards are out of play and
treated as discarded. Discarded Upgrade cards remain next to the Ship card
to which they are equipped; they are not placed into the score pile unless the
ship to which they are equipped is destroyed.
Seems pretty cut and dry.
They could fix that rule easily.
When you discard a card, if it is double sided place it under the pilot card, otherwise flip it face down. Discarded cards are considered out of play unless otherwise stated.
There, now dual cards have a place to go and abilities that let you flip cards back up can still be used. If for some reason you need to "flip up" a dual card the rule could just say something like 'return x card to play' and then we would know that meant to take the dual card out from under the pilot card.
It would be cleaner to errata Tomax to something like:
"Once per round, after you discard an [EPT] Upgrade card, you may return that card to play."
Leave the physical mechanics of doing so out of the pilot ability and in the rules where they belong.

That's from an old copy of the tournament regulations. The current version has this:
I'm liking my AP., Gamma Vet (CS, Homing, EM, GC) x2 with 34 point Vader. There are a lot of variations of the list that I think would work (drop the bombers to Gamma non-vets, change the ace, etc..)but Vader is a nice endgame piece combined with a potent alpha. The AP makes sure the Gammas have room to get their shots.
