Hello folks! I just got into IA. Played about 5 games now, really enjoying myself so far.

It also made me pick up the painting brush again. It's been a while, but I'm fairly happy with my results so far. I'm still waiting for my coreset to arrive, but I do have the stormtrooper and twin shadows expansion.

So, on to the pics:

The first three troopers are done!

And prepped the first 2 heavies for painting. The guns were a bit crooked, but some hot water fixed that.

Stormies look great. How did you not hit the little black circles on the bracers? lol. I've tried really hard to leave as much detail as possible on them but I found by Trooper 7, 8 and 9 I was just kind of like ok... lets get this done. The Storm Trooper fatigue is real.

Thin your paints down enough, and don't have too much paint in your brush. Like barely any paint at all. Then just simply drag your brush across the surface. Because there isn't much paint in your brush it won't pool in the recesses. Do this like 2-3 times to get an even coverage of the raised area.

Ha, I guess I've been on the X-wing part of the forums for too long. Yes, you are of course correct in pointing that out

No new painting update just yet. I did however have a spare few minutes before I had to leave for a birthday party to start repositioning one of my officers. I like the uniformal look of Stormies all in the same pose, but for officers it does get boring. Here's my first IA conversion:
