The interdictor

By mcworrell, in Star Wars: Armada

The other thing to remember is you could FTC a squadron of b wings more than once, it's only three points so getting a second copy is easy if you like Nebs. That would be a 1 + 1 + 2 move and fire or 1+1 double tap........

The only problem I see with mutiple FTCs is having to buy multiple Interdictors.

That is exactly what I'm talking about... You could potentially get 3 distance 1 moves, putting them into the position to double tap.... Of course, if you're doing that, you might as well Adar for the Triple... One of the few times you'd put him on Yavaris. But that being said, who knows... Lots of combination potential.

Still, Liberty Tomorrow...

The only problem I see with mutiple FTCs is having to buy multiple Interdictors.

I'm sure I will be anyway... Plus, I can trade cards for painting credits!

I have this picture in my head of the first poor fool who faces this and doesn't have an answer to squadrons, sweat beading up on his brow as the B-wing doom squad inches closer and closer with every single activation.

These upgrades go a long way to slowing down a speedy Rebel Fleet.

I really like the Flight Coordination Team also, could be real useful for some B-Wings. swm16-fighter-coordination-team.png

I dont really see myself using the commander either, but there have definetely been times I wished I could take my shots and move before activating my fighters. Its not just good for allowing you to catch up.

Might also pair well with jamming fields

your not activating the fighters your giving all the fighters in mid range to the ship with the FTC an extra distance 1 move. and by the way heavy s can't cause engagement on enemy fighters. engagement: is only being able to stop enemy fighters from moving. It has no other meaning in the game.

Heavy Squadrons Do Engage.

However, they simply do not enforce most of the things that Engagement Entails...

They Still Engage .

If Heavies did not Engage, then Mauler Mithel would do no damage when he moves into an Intel Field - and we all know that Mauler is a good way to deal damage directly to Dengar and/or Jan, Right?

Actually, you are still engaged with heavy, it just does not prevent you from moving or attacking a ship.

If you have a TIE Bomber and a TIE Fighter, the TIE Fighter gets his swarm if both are engaged.

Looks good. Finally some real sneaky tricks for the Empire to use against those slippery Rebels. Hopefully, the interdictor will start to cause those MC80 or AF lines of battle will start bumping into each other.

... And Jaws as a Personal Theme Song :D

I would put 2 YT 1300's in personally

Toyed with the idea. Jan in a jamming field will take a while to die anyway, and if you fly it tight enough, anything coming in after her is toast anyway, so I'm leaning harder into the B-wings. Might or might not work, just a concept fleet. :)

That's for tomorrow, for today, let the B-Wings have their moment in the spotlight.

FC and FCT.....speed three Bwings or even a speed one double tap Bwing paired with yavaris ( throw in a black dice and blue die reroll from wave three and Bwings just became....... Well everything I ever wanted in a squadron.

Sold! I'm also realizing FC is a good substitute for Boosted Comms, allowing for Expanded Hangars in that offensive retrofit slot.

So many of you with four Flight Commanders in your lists stand a great chance of winning the competition, as you'll have to buy four Interdictors to actually make it happen without proxies. I think they'll love that. ;)

Except, if in between activations, your opponent engages your squadrons, FCT becomes useless? It's that correct???

I'm more willing to bet that the winning list will be something fairly tame and pretty generalist. I just hope its a Imperial.
