Blood Red Summer

By Ardaedhel, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Tonight I threw together a list on the spot for a game, just for funsies. It featured an Ackbar-powered assault cruiser and... I liked it.

I liked it a lot.

Fistfulls of red dice are pretty addicting.

So I decided to try and actually build a list with them. I don't think this will necessarily be an earth-shattering good list or anything, but it's going to be lots of fun to play. There's just something immensely satisfying about picking up seven reds, two blues, and two blacks and just flinging them at ISD's.

Haha, hey! I made a similar post last night too! The way to get more free dice in there is with Opening Salvo or Most Wanted. And without repair crews I'd take most wanted.

But if you're going to have both MC80s, you may as well take Home One. I know you were going for "loads of red dice," but from a slightly competitive mindset, your opponent will make a mad dash for Defiance, so defiance is the only one really needing both defensive retrofits. You could go command cruiser for Home One and take Tractor beams instead of APs while maintaining points (or make quantum storm a combat retrofit so that she can use CF commands).

Edit: I'm glad this much red is fun. I do quite enjoy the prospect of having to use two hands for the mega load that is an Ackbar assault
