Seeing as how General Cracken and Admiral Mointferrat both make ship(s) count as obstructed if moving fast enough, but Jaina's Light never counts as obstructed, is this a case of a very cheap (2pt) card making much more expensive cards useless? Or would they count as obstructed even against Jaina's Light?
Obstructed specail against Jaina's Light?
Janna's Light has the word cannot and following the golden rules, means that attacks from that ship are not counted as obstructed.
A Very Cheap, Unique card, wedded to a Ship that, traditionally, has one of the lowest damage output capabilities based on raw dice alone.
It would be a problem if it weren't a Unique Title.

First off thank you, that is what I thought but thought better to double check.

I could see it not being to bad, if it was only that it is not obstructed, but it also makes it immune to asteroids, and debris field. In addition both the other ones are also unique cards (one an officer, one a commander). The officer one also has drawbacks in that overlapping something and you lose it for almost four times the cost. I see this more of them either by purpose or not but at least to me they keep giving the rebels more things that tweek the rules. I know people talk all the time about Demolisher and Rymier, but in my area to the best of my knowledge they have never won, they are taken out easy. Almost every card that the local area things is over powerful/broken are Rebel cards.
So you get to keep the one red die to hit them with TRC.

I have no idea what you are saying.
Vogons is saying that as Jaina's light does not count as obstructed it will always have at least one red dice (providing its on a Corvette A of course) with which it can use Turbolaser Reroute Circuits to boost the attack.
Given the ship that it's on and it being a limited title I do not think that it's overpowered, a bit annoying sure but not overpowered.

I would have to disagree on the overpowerd, only because it is so cheap and completely negates cards that cost much more than it does. I do agree that the effect it has is not overpowering, and the ship is not overpowering. But for all you get for two points, I negate cards that cost at least 2.5 times as much as I do and only do one thing, plus I can fly into ruble or asteroids and take no damage at all. I wounder if people would think it worth it if it cost five points, or had the down side of Admiral Montferrat?
Part of the face of the Downside of Admiral Montferrat existing is that its not slaved to A Corvette ...
If Montferrat was restricted to a Raider, as a title, I'm sure he'd cost 2 points and not have the drawback.
But because you can put him on an Imperial Star Destroyer, which ramps up the survivability of an already survivable beast.... A Drawback is a Balancing factor...
Just the same as Cracken, although an Admiral, is limited to small or Medium, with no other Drawback than that.. No Speed 3 Large Shenanigans.
