Dedicated carriers, Ton falk and quasar fire. Along with some new squadrons. E-wing and z95 for the rebels, TIE Defender TIE Phantom for the imps.
What to expect after Wave 4?
By then FFG's Star Wars license will probably be just about expired, and as popular as Star Wars has become with the new movies and Disney at the helm I'd expect some stiff competition for the rights. WotC used to have the minis rights and lost them to FFG, which killed WotC Star Wars minis. Decipher used to have the card game license, and lost it when it was time to renew, thus killing the Star Wars CCG.
I think the difference is, especially with the precedence set by X-Wing, and following up with Armada and IA, on the miniature side of things, its never been as popular as it is now, and proven track record will factor well for Asmodee/FFG in regards to that.
So I'm not too worried on that side of things. Its certainly an outside chance.
New capital ships and named squadrons from Rogue One movie
My own prediction is:
REBELS
The Phoenix Home ship from Rebels. Not sure what it's "real" ship name is.
Hammerhead Corvette.
EMPIRE
Quasar Cruiser thingy
Arquitans
IF Epic comes to ARMADA, my guess would be Resurgent Class Star Destroyer
Waiting for seething hatred and screamed insults to subside in.....

Because FFG seems to be on a Rebels and TFA related releases phase right now. Yes I'd rather wait until the sequels show more big ships, and we get more titles than Finalizer, but FFG doesn't seem to want to wait for such details. As X-Wing proved with it's Omega Ace, Epsilon Leader, Blue Ace etc
Another possibility is seeing some older ships, like the Venator, Acclamator, Munificent Class etc
REBELS
The Phoenix Home ship from Rebels. Not sure what it's "real" ship name is.
Pelta Class Frigate.

Thank you
I predict that I will continue to make copious amounts of money, while you are all amazed at the quality of the products that continue to flow from such a fine gaming company.
There is much space left yet to be mined, and more being created even as we speak. Do not despair. The future of a long, long time ago is bright indeed.
Time for Droid Separatist fleets you say?
I predict expansions that can be fielded by either rebels or imperials. A wave that has a Dreadnaught, Quasar-fire carrier and maybe another ship such as a strike cruiser where the A version is rebel, and the B version is imperial, and they are quite radically different.
- Dreadnaught would be very damage resistant
- Quasar-fire would be a dedicated carrier but weak
- Strike cruiser would be a medium ship that can equip the upgrades designed for flotillas due to its modular construction
This way they can add a vast bulk of medium sized ships to the game, and really shake up the options available, with one medium tank, carrier and medium support ship for each side. This wave would have me buying and painting 6 medium ships..... and I'm a casual collector. Some of the guys on this forum would need a second mortgage for this wave.

I like this idea. While I'm usually not a fan of mirror-units, and appreciate the diversity that Armada has built up, I feel like the game is at the point now (and definitely after Waves III and IV) where each faction has some definite play styles, where giving each faction access to some shared units would be a nice wrinkle to strategizing (especially if they have special titles, faction-tweaks to stats, etc).

I would envisage the rebel and Imperial versions of the ship to be radically different in usage and armament, and the packs to have 4 titles in each - 2 rebel and 2 imperial to add to the difference.
The only problem I foresee with a wave like this is it would build up the game too quickly, and instead of dragging the escalation of the product slowly over years, it may increase the variety and diversity too quickly.

X-Wing is currently all but printing money for the board game side of things. I think FFG will hold the rights for at least one more contract extension. Once the films cool off again, who knows.

The old WotC miniatures game had ships from two distinct timelines (Original and Prequals) that were balanced throughout for play, so you could play a Republic fleet vs. the Empire if you wanted. Seeing that sort of expansion of Armada to different eras in the timeline could be pretty cool.
