Hey guys!
Let's predict the future ITT. What do you think we'll see post Wave 4?
I'm guessing the Hammerhead Corvette will make an apparation for sure... but go ham on want you think (wish) we'll see!

Probably wave 6,and possibly something in the interim

Good thought, but FFG is pragmatic enough that I think they'll do wave 5 before that.
SSD as the first epic ship.
Someone had to say it. ![]()
Rebels stuff most likely. Lots of content there.
The Death Star, we have to have something for that SSD to ram into.
I wouldn't be surprised to see more fighters. Defenders, E-Wings, etc.
I think they'll cancel the game, thus confirming the prediction of most that Armada is indeed.....dead.
I expect to keep seeing new fighters imported from X-Wing. Those are easy calls. For bigger ships, who knows? But we'll keep getting something.
Arquitanns Frigate for the Empire to give them another midsized ship besides the gladiator.
Quasar Fire for the Rebels. Carrier version with 4 of 5 squadron value, and cruiser carrier as a combat variant.

Gee, I hope, otherwise let's just call this game X-Wing with some big ships!
Obviously they have to branch out into a crossover universe where the Empire invades another galaxy Running into the Federation and Klingon Empire!
Wave 8 will include the Borg
Wave 9 they will realise the Borg is To Broken and in order to reaffirm the dominance of the Star Wars Universe they will introduce...
Wave 10! Which will comprise the Executor SSD as the first Epic ship and then the DEATH STAR as the first MEGA expansion
Wave 11 will see the End of the Rebellion as it is completely Assimilated Into the Borg ( the most notable where the Moncalamari "we are the BORG, Resistance is futile, Its A TRAP!")
Wave 12 will prove the game So unbalanced not even the death star can keep the Borg in check and soon the Federation falls followed by the Klingons (except the ones that clocked and got away) once again leaving the game at 2 factions
Wave 12, due to FFGs new hatred of 2 faction systems will force them to introduce a new faction where they Will introduce the Covenant and unsc
Wave 13 will see the fall of the Unsc as it is decimated by 3 superior empires
Wave 14 sees a Allaince form between the Covenant and the Empire to Defeat the Borg
Wave 15 the Borg are finally destroyed thanks to the hive center being Destroyed by the Death star
Wave 16 will see the peace brought to the galaxy as the Covenant is officially assimilated into the Empire thus Ending the game of Armada with the True victors left Standing ![]()
I think anything planned past Wave 4 is going to be based on the TV shows and new movies. A major reason for this is that they need a visual guide for new stuff that fits in better to the visual design than some of the older ship designs from the comic books and RPGs, which is what we got in the novels.

I wish they strayed from the visual guide they got for the AFM2.
They are. The AFmk2 was a holdover from the Lucasfilm days, and people don't fully appreciate how easy it was to just make stuff up on the fly. In the case of the AF2, it needed to be a distinctly non-Imperial ship for the Empire At War video game. And so they created something that looks fine from above but didn't make a lot of sense as a cobbled together ragtag assortment of ships.
This is also why the Interdictor has had so many variations: artists and writers basically redefining it on the fly with every new work, or sometimes not being allowed to correct obvious design mistakes. So interdiction cruisers ended up being described as wildly different sizes and armaments between sources.
The defining element of all these potential examples? None of them were going to appear in the films. If they were, the designs would have been radically different.
Let's look at an example of what I mean: Shadows of the Empire was a story created as a test run by George Lucas, who knew film technology could finally put his vision for the prequels on screen but didn't know if his company was ready to really do it. George Lucas made an imaginary Star Wars film and had the team design everything as though it was going to be filmed. So Dash Rendar and the Outrider? The Starviper fighter? The entire planet of Coruscant? All of it was actually designed to be a definitive option for new films and that's why they are amongst the first offerings in both X-Wing and Armada.
Would like to see more ships from the PC games. Like the Lancer Class, Dreadnoughts, Dauntless-Class, Liberator-Class, etc... (All from the PC Star Wars Rebellion game)

Dauntless and Liberator were the only ones invented for the Star Wars Supremacy AKA Star Wars Rebellion game though.
FFG seems to like the Liberator - having put it in Age of Rebellion:
Super star destroyer seems the obvious one - from the GCW and movies we are still missing the Emperor and Admiral Piett both of whom would be obvious inclusions. And the Emperor would fit better in "epic" play. He isnt going to turn up for a skirmish! (Xwing....)
More mundane - The Empire needs a more flexible medium ship I think. Something like a modernised VSD that trades red dice for blues and can keep up with ISDs.
"Rebels" content would be all good.
Beyond that...
campaign or story based missions - introducing convoys and planetary defences and other interactive terrain?
Lots of complaining that the game is dead and abandoned, followed by a wave 5 announcement that will generate lots of complaining that the game is getting bloated.

Well the Victory 2 was suppose to be faster than the Vic 1. I think FFG dropped the ball on that kinda. As the point cost for upgrading at the moment is a bit expensive.
SSD eventually.
And Venerators and the TFA SD
Maybe another Admiral Nelson or two?
Maybe another Admiral Nelson or two?
I think he might have been banned but good.
I'm not sure what ships we will see, but there is lots of design space left.
Like a smaller Imperial ship that doesn't rely so heavily on black dice. I really like that we ar getting another rebel ship that has good forward arcs.
I think we will see more Fighter upgrades that make carriers more and more common.

Lol. I expect he was after that outburst! I was using it as a generic term for "super nerd rage quit" ![]()
