Worth buying 2 imperial veterans?

if you don't paint YUP.

Ah, how did you guess :)

Definitely worth buying 2 if you can afford it, if not, then no.

Or be crazy and buy 4 like me to get the models in custom paint.

Yes.

This has been another episode of quick answers.

Two red defenders and a red Intereceptor, looks do **** good

Thinking of trying out thee reds myself. Not sure if Fel/Ryad/Delta or Fel/Phennir/Ryad is better though.

Carnor Jax (26)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Royal Guard TIE (0)
Maarek Stele (TIE Defender) (35)
Crack Shot (1)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Colonel Vessery (35)
Crack Shot (1)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Glaive Squadron Pilot (34)

All royals. All red. And Carnor + 8x 3-die crackshots is... kinda terrifying, actually. Guess that means you need eight packs. You know, for the colour co-ordination. :D

Get a Palpshuttle in there so they actually have something to guard!

Oooh. Fluffy! :D

But do we lose Carnor Jax, the quinessential Imperial escort... or one Defender, but then fly a distinctly non-doctrinal 7?

On the balance, I think we lose Carnor. It's painful, but it works out in the end - after all, a full squadron of Royal Defenders suggests the Emperor is headed through some rather hostile territory... :D

Let's see:

Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Reinforced Deflectors (3)
Emperor Palpatine (8)
Countermeasures (3)
Maarek Stele (TIE Defender) (35)
Adaptability (0)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Colonel Vessery (35)
Crack Shot (1)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Glaive Squadron Pilot (34) x6
Crack Shot (1)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Total: 300
That's one wonderfully defensive shuttle, and two full wings of Defenders as an escort. Stele lost his crackshot, but with Adaptability can either tangle with PS 7-8 aces, or if the bid doesn't work out, simply drop to PS 6 and move simultaneously with the rest of his squadmates... and shoot after their crackshots have obliterated token stacks and shield points, to push through those sweet, sweet crits.
Muahaha.

the primary reason you'd want 2 vets is:

1) Triple glaive cards. Tbh i dont see a point for a third glaive, run ryad instead of 1 glaive.

2) Multiple system officers. Since it doesnt work on yourself (other friendly ships ... ugh) outside epic i dont see a reason for 2 or even a way to run 2 and still have an offense worth mentioning.

3) 3 tie/d or 3 tie/x7 or 4 tie/shuttle titles. Probably the main reason people are going to get 2, since theres a lot of 4shuttle lists going around or trip x7.

Im not getting 2 "yet" because im not super super competitive so i'd rather everyone get their hands on it than min-max myself.

Epic Play as well... then you can have 3 Glaives AND Ryad!

Doesn't really feel right to run grey/blue Glaives though.

I generally order 2 of everything Empire (the only side that I currently play) and feel that this release is deserving of at least two purchases for the many reasons already listed.
