I played 2 players using Dunwich, and I got dealt Mark Harrigan. My first skill, Mythos Lore, -1 max sanity. Ancient one=Cthulhu, another -1 max. I GOT ONLY 1 MAX SANITY THE WHOLE GAME! I ended up with 1 injury card and 4 (Yes FOUR) Madness cards. Somehow I'm the sole survivor, everyone else got devoured once in the game. Guardian Angel you reckon?

ouch. Yeah, I know that mythos lore is considered one of the best skills in the game, but I always hate getting it. Honestly I would have retired Mark after the 2nd disability card.

Yep, I've had the Deluxe 1 sanity max Harrigan before, with Mythos Lore and Squidface.

I reassured myself that Mark was always at maximum sanity, so it wasn't that bad

Funny thing is, Mark survived the whole game (albeit driven insane a few times), but everyone else got devoured at least once (someone got devoured for being LiTaS when the Ancient One awoke)

Wow, poor Mark, totally loony tunes for sure. I would have retired him earlier on as well:P

I was not giving up my Flamethrower at any costs. That's why I always choose a madness card since choosing to discard items means discarding the Flamer.

I know how you feel; for some reason, Mark Harrigan is the Investigator that ends up with Mythos Lore most often for me. I swear, every second game with him I draw it.

And yes, it has happened in a game against Cthulhu as well, but it was too long ago to remember how he fared in that one.

This perfectly defines my love/hate relationship with Mark.
