I'm pretty sure the title sums it up, but in case you like reading, here's the question:

If I use Draw Their Fire on a ship with Stealth Device, do I lose the Stealth Device? My initial thought is no, and here's why:

Stealth Device:

Increase your agility value by 1. If you are hit by an attack, discard this card.

Draw Their Fire:

When a friendly ship at Range 1 is hit by an attack, you may suffer 1 of the uncanceled critical results instead of the target ship.

So the friendly ship is the one that is hit, DTF just causes you to suffer an uncanceled crit, much the same as Wampa's ability causes the opponent to suffer one facedown damage card, but doesn't count as a hit.

Am I looking at this right, or am I wrong?

You have it right, using DtF to pull a crit doesn't make that ship Hit it just suffers whatever damage is appropriate.

That is correct. Its useful if you can find a cheapo ship to have it on tagging along side say a Decimator but you cant do anything to evade it once you pull it from the real defender.

Part of the reason i have difficulties finding a use for it lol. Everything cheap with an EPT has no **** shields

I was thinking of it on a support HWK, w/ R2-D2 crew. Hiding it behind a Ghost with Tactical Jammer to help increase greens that much more. I never trust green dice, but I do like giving the opponent the option to shoot at a massive chunk of hull and shield with almost guarantee to hit, as opposed to 4 greens on something else. It's kind of a spend the points to help you select the target I want you to shoot at thing. Ah, the psychology of warfare.

Thanks for confirming guys. I just wanted to make sure the strategy worked before I buy the Tantive IV to get the cards for it. Big investment for something to not work.

Also, If Soontir Fel with Stealth Device is within range of a Black Squad with DTF and a single crit gets through Soontir's defenses then Soontir would lose his Stealth Device even though the Black Squad suffered the crit on his behalf.

Hah! I really want it too as I think it's a fantastic looking model. But I don't fly rebels and feel it's probably a bit of a waste for me. Maybe one day!
