On the Boat & Shipping Now

By AceSolo5, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Ok, so what's the difference between On the Boat & Shipping Now... They kinda say the same thing to me?

I only ask as I'm desperate for the EotE GM kit & I'm certainly not paying the extortionate prices that Amazon UK are listing it at at the moment! Cheers :)

The terms are explained on on the Upcoming page. On the boat means it's being shipped from the printer to the warehouse. Shipping Now means it's coming from the warehouse to the game store.

The difference?

On The Boat: The freighter is not going fast enough

Shipping Now: The UPS truck is not going fast enough.

Oh good, people beat me to it! I thought I was going to have to type up a 500-word post going over the difference and mean time intervals and such.

I don't usually say this, but: Thank you, Mr. Penguin!

Now now, let's not go quite that far...

On The Boat: Its stuck in the Bermuda Triangle please negotiate its release from D&D Pirates.

Shipping Now: The Teamsters will get them there after 15 minute breaks every 20 minutes.

For the UK gamers this really means Bugger All! FFG will only send about 10 of each product

Ive never had a problem getting a copy of a book in the uk, the adversary decks are a different thing altogether.

Ah... It all becomes clear :) Many thanks for the responses!!

I'm in the UK (well that's what we call it at the moment anyway, that might change to just the 'K' tho the way things are going :)) so it looks like I shall have to learn patience :)

I haven't seen adversary decks in stock anywhere but the FFG store for a very long time. I broke down and ordered all six from there, and they should be delivered within a week of placing the order (tomorrow, if USPS tracking is accurate).

Yea, I'm going to bite the bullet and order all of them together direct from FFG once the GBP/USD rate becomes more favourable.

Thanks to the Brexit vote and all the big banks and other financial companies like rats leaving a sinking ship, you may not have to wait much longer. ;(
