Can Horton re-roll all his blanks or just one because on the card it says 'any' not 'all'.
Horton Salm Pilot ability
all i believe.
It's all his blank results. That's why Marksmanship is dangerous on him.
Or, you know, just a focus token.

The guy is deadly with no tokens. If only an EPT, YOU HEAR ME FFG!
HORTON DESERVES SOME RESPECT!
With an EPT, Horton would be one of the most solid high-PS pilots in the game, held back only by the chassis he flies in. (Compare to Soontir, whose ability is nice, but amplified tenfold by being in an Interceptor.)
Without the EPT... he might've been usable in the Brave New World of functioning ordinance, maybe. But then Torpboats showed up and did it better.

yeah, was just gonna one up him with a mention of "Proton Torpedoes"
an ept would've been nice (really, no reason he shouldn't have it) but it wouldn't've skyrocketed him to sudden leet status
Edited by ficklegreendiceWith Marksmanship and a tlt, he becomes laser accurate.

Kir Kanos supports this.
R2D6, Wired, TLT. 3 Turn as his first maneuver, and he can reroll everything forever.

We can always hope the Poe reprint is FFG saying, "Ok we screwed some things up this is what really should have happened" There is honestly no reason for some of the stats on these pilots, PS 1 Ewings, no EPT aces (I personally think EPT's should have always been PS based, a certain PS on up has default an EPT it's kinda in the name). We have the technology we can make them stronger, faster, better.

Same as PS 1 Defenders.. The fluff says elite pilots that are awesome..But we are going to make their lowest generic the same as an Academy Pilot. Doesn't make sense.

Except that SlowPoe is better than SuperPoe because 2 points for 1 PS is goddamn expensive
So SuperPoe is the "screw up" version. PS9 my aft!

Or it just gives us a price of 2 points for an EPT slot. Pold can become PS9 for free with Adaptability, while PoeNew is PS9 naturally for 2 more points and has that EPT free.

Fluffwise, the pilots are flying unfamiliar prototypes and still trying to get used to them. Plus the fancy-pants avionics suite continually keeps crashing, they can't turn for jack and their bulky, heavy helmets keep hitting the canopy whenever they try look over their shoulder. The higher PS ships are those flying the Block II or III models with the kinks ironed out.

Poor Delta Squadron Pilots... They know the Empire must hate them then...
Any/all blanks at range 2-3. Was made to work with range 2-3 torpedoes and not so well with turrets until TLT came out.
The thing is the amount of points you spent on Horton and Y-wings don't have the survivability that they used to as the meta shifted to TLTs. Horton becomes the first one to die and he won't last long enough to make up for all the extra points you spent on him than just taking a Gold w/TLT.

together WITH horton.
poor Horton, playing on a TLT platform that dies to TLTs and melts under ordnance, and dies to boosty-aces.

do note, however, you only need to fly 12 successful missions, or something, to get into a Tie Defender
come fresh out of the academy, get VERY lucky being the forth guy from the back row in every engagement; bam! trade in your flying coffin for a sports car

Yeah but Horton with TLTs were never a thing even before Wave 8. So Horton was already dead before TLTs went extinct. TLTs just never resurrected Horton. however if anyone went down with the TLT ship it was R3-A2.

I ran Horton in a 34 point Furball with TLT, Plasma Torps, and Chimps, and he was a beast. There is no need to take a TL, because his ability is a mini-TL, so I could just sit back and hit with the TLT. Once I had a juicy target in sight, I launched the Plasma Torp for 3-4 hits to erase the target. I was the one that survived the longest before dying the first time (we re-spawned after dying). I will definitely continue to use him in this format.
Horton is a beast in Epic. He is great with Plasma or Proton Torpedoes. Oh, you get the eyeball added with Proton, but if he's able to get a free action for a Focus and TL, then it's better against epic with Plasma to take down the enemy shields faster. He's worth it to add in some sort of bonus like Cracken in epic as it's hard to get that TL.
R2-D6 was made for him and Garven Dreis. Why don't people take that astromech if they are thinking Horton needs an EPT?
Horton might not be all that in a 100 pt death match, but he's nasty in about every other situation.

12 missions on an Interceptor. You have to get there first
Mark my words, R3 Astromech is the promised Uboat counter. When they suddenly struggle with Ys and Xs, Horton will make a comeback.
I am just stepping into the world of Astromech Droids, and R2-D6 seems perfect for any non ept "ace".
I like the idea of using him on Blue Ace, and Autothrusters, but what ept?, Vet Instincts? or Push the Limit?
