FFG has settled the debate, the 1's have it

Well, it was always confusing to me at least... It's a 1 not an I (eye)

copies of the full art card, X17 Turbolasers

Which would contradict old Canon.

Since they were XI (As in, Roman Numeral 11) - 7. 11-7s.

(Although I do think they were really 'Xi" anyway)

The Wookieepedia legends article:

I don't disagree with you. I also feel "XI-7" just rolls off the tongue easier as well.

Well, I disagree with the assertion that The "1s" have it, Especially since its not a technical article, but instead, a quick simple release article for an Alt-Art card, and could be a typo...

In essence, the Article calling them X17 is Wrong.

Just the same as calling an X-Wing a Z-Wing, Wrong...

FFG, for their official product, is still constrained by what LFL and Disney will approve. They will approve things that are based on Canon and Legends. New Things (like the Raider) will not be created willy-nilly, and instead will have to be approved.

So I guess I disagree with the entire topic, as the debate is clearly not settled, based on the fact that I am still debating :D :D

What's truly silly is roman numerals expressed as their letter counterparts.

Thanks for the confusion Star Wars.

So it is not an alt-art card but a new card, same cost and effect as the XI7 but now known as the X17.

Now, we no longer have to argue about it being one or the other, we can in fact have both.

Don't forget this article is from the marketing department, which have made mistakes in the past.

So it could still be XI or it could X1 or it could be Schrodinger's turbolaser and be both at the same time :D

What article are we talking about?

Thanks. It's hard to see exactly what's on the card. I wouldn't trust the write up.
