In our gaming group, we decided we have to do something new. We basically always fly the small number of the same thing, or of the same type. So we came up with an idea for a tournament, for which we will randomly draw a pilot, you must use in your list. We only used small ship pilots.

The system goes this way. Every player has 2 "Force Points". You can spend the force point it two different ways:

1) You can remove one whole faction from the draw (if you really don't want to play Empire, or you are only willing to play Rebels))

2) You can re-draw your drawn pilot

So it came to this. Yesterday, on a big drinking party, an independent person draw the pilots for us with this result:

ME: 4-LOM

My wife: Zertik Storm

My brother: Jan Ors

His wife: Omega Leader!!!

Our common friend: Arvel Crynyd

Now, I have basically never played anything which was not Rebel and I have made a list, which I consider really funny. I call it 4-LOM Hood - take from the rich and give to the poor and it consists of 4-LOM giving stress, Palob taking Focus and Kaa'to taking focus from Palob.

I like this idea. I at one time played Heroclix (I hate Wizkids) and my favorite tournament was sealed. You made do with what you drew, used figures you may never use, and "usually" their were no totally broken combinations. It would almost be fun to figure out how to do a draft style tournament.
