Is it worth getting a second pack of...?

By robertpolson, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I have been playing skirmish only as the empire. I currently have one copy of each expansion. However, I think I want to try to play with other factions in the near future. To make the best use of creating rebel and mercenaries lists, is it worth getting a second pack of

Alliance Smuggler

Echo base troopers

Hired Guns
ISB Infiltrators - for playing as the empire in general.

Dont forget Rebel Troopers and one I think people neglect are Wookie Warriors...

The Alliance Smuggler tends to run well in pairs, they are cheap and it gives you a good backup unit. The elites are very effective figures for their cost, even more so with Murne Rin or other effects giving hidden. The others come down to personal preference. I haven't personally seen many people use Echo Base Troopers successfully in a lot of tournaments, and basically never have I seen Hired Guns do much. This could be due to a lack of proper representation, but it's difficult to discern (I'm usually relieved to see my opponents playing Echo Base Troopers).

HoodieDM mentioned Rebel Troopers and Wookie Warriors, which if you plan to run either, it is better to run at least 2 (elite for troopers, regular for Wookies, generally).

A definite yes for the Echos.

Don't forget a 2nd pack of Sabs.

I love the eAlliance Smuggler, easily my most favorite card/model to play in the game.

the regular echo base troopers are equivalent to other elite troopers, but only two so generally work better split up, the elite versions play like mini characters, but can't be reinforced. I think both play well.

Hired Guns are actually one of my least favorite packs, but that may be bc I bought them and then the alliance smuggler came out a month later and the night and day difference is astounding.

ISB are probably a duplicate buy. I haven't played with them yet. I second the Esaboteurs purchase. And even a second Core/Hoth set purchase but I play more Mercs and have a family that plays against each other often.
