Easy: they release an expansion of the right time period. In the mean time you can use them for skirmish.

I feel like their next expansion will most likely be a continuation of the current timeline because we still need 4-Lom and Zuckuss. But I also see them simultaneously announcing a rebels or rogue one time period set.
Maybe not directly associated, but how does the timeline work? They've done a great job of keeping the timelines proper so far, why would they throw all that away now? Just doesn't make sense.
I wonder if the missions will be playing a story like a memory or stolen intel in the form of a flashback mission . For example you are playing a mission where Obi Wan fights Vader and you are trying to uncover what happened to his light saber.
