I haven't really played any card games of this sort,(I'm more of a board/miniatures gamer) But I bought this game because I thought it could be something that my wife and I could play from time to time. So having said that, I'm not looking to generate killer decks, but want to build some balanced decks that we could both enjoy a fun game. Definately not looking for tourney power gamey deck builds.

We have been playing with the "first game" 50 card deck to get used to the game and we enjoy it. With the 50 card decks we get close to running out of cards, so we need to incorporate some of the other cards.

Anyway, can someone suggest a base set, order vs destruction balanced game deck builds? Or If we purchased another core set and combined the factions to have more cards of each race to build decks that way?

With a couple of Core Sets, you can have a bunch of balanced and funny decks.

I'll give you a couple of lists later, but know, I suggest you to take a look around this section, especially at "Empire/Dwarves" decks and "Chaos-based" decks. Most of them are made using 3x Core Set...All you have to do is to pull out the exceeding quantities and put in some stuff you like.

Try to build the Empire/Dwarves deck at 60 and the other one at 50.

Once you've done, tell us your doubts and the "odd/remaining" slots in order to give us the opportunity to give you some appropriate advices.

A 50 card empire might be balanced well too. You have to defend until you get city gates/shrine to taal/broheim, but then it is often easy win.

I have run out of cards twice playing the 50(40+10 nuetral) card empire deck. My wife likes the dwarves, so until we get another set, we will just play destruction(me) vs order(her).
