It's a major convention in my city and i'm assisting with the Heroclix events and stall. And i'll grab my first X-wing stuff there too.

I'm tired this week. Normally I'm the one still chatting at the end of my podcast recording, but last night I was wanting to log off as soon as we were done to hit the sack. Not sure what it is about this week that really did me in.

I did get some games in last night that were a lot of fun. We played HotAC and had a good time. Got a 100 pt game in with Dengar, too. A young-ish couple came up to see what X-wing was and watched our game for about 45 min. Told them to come back and we would let them borrow minis if they wanted to try it.

Recorded the podcast and talked more about Heroes of the Aturi Cluster last night. Good stuff!

Oh, and waking up to the Brexit? So much stuff to read on that. It will be interesting...

flgs is doing the fathers day tournament this friday instead of last week. Still debating if i wanna bring a tough list or a whatever list lol. Kinda tempted to just max out on ties just to see how far i can go w/o any shenanigans.

4 academy and 4 obs is exactly 100pts. Literally barebones list lol. Dont have 8 academy pilots or id run 8 academies and squeeze in some hull upgrades lol

...8 isnt breaking the same-ship limit is it?

Epic is 12 small ships

Here is the requirements from the torny FAQ

Squad Building

Each player must build one squad for use in an X-Wing tournament. A squad cannot exceed 100

points, though it may contain fewer than 100 points. A player may choose to field a Rebel, an Imperial, or a Scum & Villainy squad. Players may choose to use either the original Core Set

damage deck or The Force Awakens ™ Core Set damage deck.

Each player must include exactly three unique obstacle tokens of their choice in their squad.

Players must select these obstacles from the twelve asteroids included in the two core sets and

the six debris clouds included in the YT-2400 and VT-49 Decimator expansion packs. A player

may not select two of the same asteroid or debris cloud.

Players must use the same squad, damage deck, and obstacles for the duration of the tournament.

Some events require players to submit a squad list, including all associated Upgrade cards, total

squad points, damage deck, and obstacles to the organizer before the start of the tournament.

Ah, no, unfortunately not.

I live in South Africa and the Con i'm going to be helping out with is called Icon.

Its fairly major and they've just moved to a much bigger convention center, which is closer to me than the old one.

My friday went well lol... ran an 8TIE swarm at the local tourny instead of the bumper-wing build. Two complete steamroll victories and 1 complete steamroll loss lol. I blame the loss on completely forgetting that ghost i was spearheading had Hera on board, so i completely ignored the potential 5k and that bit me in the ass SO **** HARD i got teeth marks...

Apparently raw TIE swarms are still pretty mean lol. Sooo many people there saw my list and cringed even though i didnt have howlrunner or crackshots. Also apparently i fly really **** well in formation since the store owner saw i was STILL in formation (minus a bumper a bit ahead) 6 turns into the game and after k-turning and he kinda wigged out that i was still so **** tight and straight. I didnt place top3 (out of 14) since i got decimated in that one game, but i still got a freebie prize on the side purely because he was so impressed with my flying lol. Basically i got both the father's day pilot cards instead of just 1. Freebie is a freebie lol.
