Hey guys I need strategies for beating the rebels. I have quite large fleets on both ends but regardless of what I do as an imperial I always lose haha. Help if you can!!!!
I'm new to the game!!!! Need help
More infos?
Your squad? Rebel squads?
Give us information, or all your Bothans dead?
A good general rule is "PEW PEW THEM TO DEATH!!".
What type of lists do they fly? What type of lists do you fly?
How can you be new and have large fleets?

First of all: WELCOME!
Second:
From an Imperial point of view you must be ruthless!
Send in Jonus with bombers to destroy large ships, send Swarms (see latest X-wing news for a brilliant example) to defeat their fleets of fighters, put palpatine in a shuttle flanked by PS9 pilots and destroy all with the Dark Side.
Throw in TIE Phantoms which are still very good or hire a Bounty Hunter and don´t listen to those who say you don´t need that Scum.
If all that doesn´t help; one of my friends favourite builds is using a Decimator which simply smashes through everything.
As others have said, you'll need to provide more info regarding your lists. That said, the strength of the Imperial lies in the extremes of quality and quantity. Successful Imperial lists tend to currently use either a swarm (5+ ships, usually TIE Fighters) or use multiple Aces.
Swarms focus on blocking a ship (purposefully getting in their way so they overlap and lose their action) and focusing a large number of attacks on a single ship each round. The EPT Crackshot is often added to guarantee damage. Swarms can be very successful but are more difficult to fly. As a beginner, I'd hold off on them for now.
Aces is a good place to start. Soontir Fel, Carnor Jax, The Inquisitor, Darth Vader, Omega Leader, and Whisper are currently the most popular ones. Each ace has a somewhat different style of flying, but most of them draw their strength from their ability to use multiple actions and arc-dodging (boosting or barrel rolling out of an opponents arc.
Below are some popular upgrades for each type of ship (these are just suggestions, the best upgrades will vary with your strategy and the particular pilot)
Interceptors and TIE Adv Prototype - Push the Limit, Autothrusters
Tie Advanced - Title, Adv Targeting Computer or Accuracy Corrector
Phantom - Veteran Instincts, Adv Cloaking Device
TIE/FO - Comm Relay, Juke (this combo is particularly lethal on Omega Leader)

My strategy is usually to shot down all the enemy ships. It never failed me.

I usually shoot them down myself.
If you're new, then I bet you are doing what everyone did when they were new: running your ships into stuff and losing your actions. There's a bunch of videos on Youtube that talk about how to correctly select movements of ships that are close to each other.
It doesn't mater what ships are on your list or what ships you are facing, if you bump and lose a bunch of actions, you're going to get clobbered. It may sound stupid, but throw a few asteroids down on a table at home and practice flying around them without hitting them. You need to get good at eyeballing distances and turns, and that simply takes repetition.
