Star Wars Cooking

By Ghost XV15, in X-Wing Off-Topic

I recently read an article about Mandalorian food, which got me thinking, has anyone of you ever tried to emulate a dish from the Star Wars Universe?
If yes, I would be greatly interested in it, and maybe we could work out an online-Star Wars-cooking book, I mean what would be better for May the 4th than a nice meal directly taken from a Galaxy far, far away?

I guess someone has to make the start, so I present to you the Uj'alayi, a Mandalorian dense, sticky cake made from crushed nuts, dried fruits, several spices and a sweet syrup named Uj'ayl.

Uj'alayi

200g Flour
100g Butter
150g Honey or any other Syrup
4 Eggs
2TS Cinnamon, if you have it use spicy Gingerbread spice
1TS Backingpowder
125g Succade
200g crushed Nuts
400g dried Fruit chunks
shot of Rum

TS stands for Teaspoon

The idea came from the german Früchtebrot (Fruitbread), which is a sweet, dark bread that is around in Chrismas in Germany, it was the picture I had in my head when I read about this cake.
The only variation I made was to add the butter, to make it more cake like and softer.
For the nuts and fruits you could use whatever you want really, the traditional German version would have almonds, hazlenuts, rasins, plums and dates, but this your own Uj'alayi, so use whatever you like.

Cheers and I eagerly await any input from you guys
