i hear ya, it took 6.5 months from announcement to release to get Veterans so we should see wave 9 by January 2017

The trend is that the first wave announced per year has a soft prerelease at GenCon and a full release later in the year. Not sure this will happen because 9 was announced so close to GenCon, but it happened with Wave 5. We'll get a new announcement at GenCon, a Force Friday release (or at the bare minimum an announcement) for Rogue One, and Wave 9 will release fully in the fall.

My guess would be that it would be in stores by November, they will want to make the most of the Christmas spending spree.

It's in their Disney contract that they must have stuff to come out with the movies so well see heroes then, wave 9 however is anyone's guess.
