Seriously he is like 35 bucks on eBay?????whaaaaat????? Ok this post might sort of have been a joke but seriously, is Palp worth blowing my life savings on to get on eBay?
Why is PALPITINE SO OVERCOSTED!
Because he comes with a $100 ship?
$35 on eBay or $85 with a "mini". You choose. Choose wisely.

No.

Also you get the cards that make Vader good (tie advanced fix). Easily worth getting the whole thing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the convention is to use "overpriced" when talking about monetary costs, and "overcosted" when talking about in-game point costs.
Palpitine? Probably a rare misprint. Gotta be worth at least 10 times what you're going to pay for it

I believe that was the joke.
You should be able to find a Raider for between 50 and 80 USD with minimal effort.

Is Vader good? Nobody flies him. Nobody flies the Advanced at all.
You mean overpriced, overcosted would be his squad point value.
1) Buy a Raider
2) Sell 3x Tie Advanced Title + ATC
3) ???
4) Profit
As a former MtG player, these kinds of topic still make me smile. I used to have to drop a lot more than that per card on multiple playsets of 4 to remain competitive; seeing people completely freak out about doing it once so they can build just one of the several competitive archetypes we have at the moment is rather amusing.

It was what prioritized the Raider over the Corvette, sure. But for me, the Raider is an awesome display piece, as is pretty much everything FFG models. And there are people interested in Epic.

If $35 is your life savings, I'd urge you to seriously reconsider your financial choices. One of them, in particular, being this game.

Yes. Nobody ever flies Vader. I've never at all seen him in high placing lists in every tournament since the Raider launched. I've also never run 4x AC Cluster Tempests to a ridiculous number of victories over several months.
This reminds me that I need to put my extra Palp and Advanced titles on Ebay. Thank You.

being a non magic player this is like someone saying haha yeah sure cutting off your toe hurt but back in my day, we cut off our own arms! for fun! in the snow!
and we liked it!
I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but it was a known requirement to play competitively. X-wing is heaven by comparison to MtG and many other games out there, which is why it amuses me to see people freak out over having to spend a little bit of cash on it.
Edited by DR4CO****, I recently let one go for $20. What a generous person am I!

Or a Raider for 50 bucks after you sell the cards
Gotta love when a game can convince us that 7 pieces of cheap cardstock are "worth it" spending almost $100 on two miniatures that will largely collect dust.$35 on eBay or $85 with a "mini". You choose. Choose wisely.

Well you can if you want to buy a Raider and then sell everything you're not going to use on Ebay.
I got my Palp with a Raider, a TIE Adavanced and a bunch of other cards and tokens for $65 brand new from MM a couple weeks ago. I could probably sell it off in pieces for a tidy profit but I enjoy Epic and plan to keep it all to myself.
I think you will find that if Palpatine was only 1 <crew> slot he would be broken.
No one is going to comment on how he misspelled Ovaltine?
Dude, Ovaltine is overcosted because it's so **** good for you! Fortify them bones son! ****.
