Played my first team epic turnament this week and I have to admit I have discovered a hole new X-wing that I love to bits. Fielding a huge fleet together with a team-mate is just so much fun. Please just get that Raider, you will not regret it.

Epic is a ton of fun. I've only managed to get in five games or so, but each one has been outstanding. We're planning to get in a bunch more after regionals.

Team epic is the best format in X-wing, imo.

It's beautiful, hilarious, addictive and thematic to hell. 2vs2 or 3vs3, either way you're all winners...

Also you get the cards that make Vader good (tie advanced fix). Easily worth getting the whole thing.

Is Vader good? Nobody flies him. Nobody flies the Advanced at all.

I have to disagree, I fly him a lot, and he is quite good. The only times he died on me (twice, in 2 diff games) was when I hit a rock (unfortunately) and didn't get to do his 2 actions. Apart from that he is rock solid.

I field him as:

Marksmanship

Twin Ion Engine

TIE/x1 title

Advanced Targeting Comp

As he doesn't "need" PTL, he can use one of his actions to beef his damage potential via Marksmanship.

Target Lock to begin with, and now and then evade or focus.

"because its the workhorse of the rebel alliance, a bomber, a scout, and a warship. it also comes with carboard stuff and some cards"
