I really would love some fries now...

**** you sir! That's a sterotipical attitude and- nah just kidding! :D Belgium is known for it's great fries!

We even have a patented (no really!) variant called "Steppegras".

Any other coutries that have good fries?

I gotta try poutine sometimes. Not sure if the fries are any good, but with all the cheese and gravy on top, I'm sure it will be delicous.

When you say fries do you mean like the Americans say fries, which Brits call chips, or is that a different thing?

TLdR: Belgium is a smaller version of the EU

Aaand now I've gone crosseyed . Yeah thanks Cununculus! I was trying to forget about all that. :D

And there's some monarchy tacked onto all that somewhere, but they are mostly (not even that really) for show.

Pretty much what the americans call "French fries" (or "freedom fries" the way Bush sais it) Britisch "chips" are generaly more short and thick.

Taking it seriously isn't the problem. It's having to trot over to the local voting place to stick a card in a computer and push a few buttons (Most of Belgium votes electronically) every time. UGH! Waste of tiiiiime!

Sadly no. No voting for Donald Duck in my country ;)

No more write-ins? That's a shame. My mom used to tell me stories of when my aunts would organize all their friends and see to it that Snow White received a noticeable percentage of the vote.

That's us!

Better for England in the long run, and I can't wait for the comedy hour with the Scots after their last attempt at breaking away.

So vinager and mushy peas. Those any good?

I actually only had mushy pees for the first time a few months ago (I'm 31), I'd never bothered trying them before because they look gross. They're actually pretty nice! I don't think you'd have vinegar with them, but I may be wrong. Vinegar (and salt) on chips is lovely, but if you ask me the best thing to have on chips in Bernaise sauce.

Aw yeah, saw that on the news a few years back. One disheartened scottish gent saying "Bought and sold with English gold" in the most bitter sounding voice I've heard.

It was sad in a funny way, but I think the next few reforms and votes in Italy are more dangerous the Brexit, something I hope doesn't escalate.

Italy is going to be the cause of yet another Euro crisis and soon, France the one after that.

I was seriously under the impression France was doing fine, what with most of the EU's money going through it and Germany.

Nah, France hasn't been able to keep a budget in decades, productivity is decreasing and the workforce is too willing to ruin the country in order not to have to face reality.

Not facing reality is popular for most humans.

Yeah, I often play with little plastic space ships to get away from it.

I've spent most of my life avoiding 'reality' , either through the medium of wargames/RPGs or alcohol :)

Or the unholy combination of the 3?

The moment I realised the combination of wargames and alcohol is Warhol.

Oh, and just because British Politics isn't enough of a laughing stock, today there was the Chilcot Report.

I try to avoid Mr. reality as much as possible. My prefered methods are: games, movies, music, drink and a healthy dose of weirdass japanese multimedia.

It's kinda sad when the writings of HP Lovecraft, provide more comfort than the real world ;)

What's that and will looking it up make me sad?

Oh wait, lemme guess it's about Blair having had his head so far up Dubja Bush's ass he couldn't see Britain shouldn't have invaded Irak?

Could be worse, you could have had Bush and Obama run your country.
