Ah, I see what you're saying. I'd like to keep to the original format - four rounds and the top cut will mean a three month turnaround for the tournament, and the wild card still gives everyone a chance to make the top 8 cut.

beefcake4000 vs emfrank72 has hit a snag - both players have gone through their availability for the next fortnight and it looks like they won't be able to get their game in.

As round one is completely random (aside from grudge matches), I'm happy for these guys to swap opponents with other (ungrudged) players if those players also cannot schedule a game.

So! If, like beefcake and frank, your schedule doesn't line up with your opponent's, let me know and we'll see what we can do to make sure everyone gets a game in round one.

I actually feel bad about this matchup, but don't know why - it was doobleg who rolled the randomiser (or just hates you lol).

Having said that, your tournament fleet is *very* competitive, you're an excellent player and I'm overdue a loss against you.

I am sorry to hear that. Maybe playing a game might help cheer you up though, or at the very least push whatever issues you are facing to the side.

I've sent Zanos an email regarding this - waiting to hear back before making any adjustments.

As real life may very well affect other players during the tournament, I'm going to start a list of alternate players who can sub in.

I'm afraid I think I might need to withdrawal. I'm having a hard time scheduling my game with Dorrin and it's entirely on my end. My schedule for the next couple weeks only gets worse. I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time and throwing a wrench into a nice even numbered tournament.

Hey there, man! I've added your name to the sign-up page as an alternate.

I'm trying to work things out with the players who have suggested they might withdraw, as well as some that are finding it hard to schedule their round one game. Once I've got an answer from the relevant parties I'll let you know the score.

In the meantime, yes, if you could post a fleet on the fleet builds thread, that'd be great (as you're not currently matched with anyone and you're an alternate, I have no problem with this coming in after the initial deadline).
