x-wing card language in spain?

By Joruus, in X-Wing

I'm currently in spain and I wonder if I buy x-wing here, will it have Spanish cards?

I think I did read somewhere Spanish translations exist but I can't find it anywhere now, and I think some translations only are early waves and then english.

Sorry for making a topic for such a question but somehow google won't help me with this :P

In my experience most game shops in Spain will have X-Wing almost exclusively in Spanish, though most shops will order stuff in English for you if you ask.

Edit (more info)

Expansions are generally released at the same time as the English ones (though 1-2 week delays sometimes happen) and everything has an official Spanish (and French) version through FFG's distributor (in Spain and France), Edge.

Thanks! I'll wait until I'm home then before buying more x-wing. Its nice to be able to read the cards :P

Get the aurebesh. That'd be awesome.

I can't directly speak to the question, but:

I met a guy who plays in Mexico, and his cards were Spanish language. So it seems plausible that blisters sold in Spain would use that language.

The next question: which dialect of Spanish would they use?

Whichever is the Dominant and/or Language of Area of reproduction...

To be honest though, it doesn't make a huge difference.

Few people complain about the Dialect of English used in the base rules, after all...

I'm from Spain, and here the x wing game is completely translated. Maybe some rare ship without local stock could be in shakespearean...

Does the game have to "translated" into UK English before being sold there?

On an unrelated note, I wonder where I could go to get the game translated into Sindarin...

So even after knowing it's Spanish I couldn't resist buying something in a really nice small local local store..

I got Slave1 because I won't fly it imperial so when I get most wanted pack later I won't really need the Spanish cards.

But after opening I really like them, veteran instincts is named 'instinto de veterano' which I read as tinto de verano, a drink everyone drinks around here

All named pilots are untranslated except the bounty hunter: 'Cazarrecompensas' :P :P :P

Lots and lots of names, nicknames and monikers would really sound silly in spanish.

I never thought of something like the "tinto de verano", but is true. :D
