Attacking Peasants

By rashktah, in Chaos in the Old World

Hi!

Do my figures have to attack Peasants that are in the same region as they are or is attacking them just an option?

Furthermore, what's the use of adding Peasants to my player sheet rather than getting some VPs out of them when the 'Plunged into Chaos' Old World Card is played?

Thanks for any help! :)

1) Yes, you have to attack if there are valid targets in the region. This includes peasant tokens and enemy God figures. You can target out of those as you like (if, for example, it's more beneficial for a model to stick around to get killed off by a hero token rather than one of your models, you could hit the peasants instead)

2) Yes, there are many instances where at no point in the game will peasants, or the killing thereof, effect the game at all. Bear in mind there are also Old World cards that do other things with peasants (like the one that says they increase the Resistance of the region by 1 each...) that can make them annoying enough to kill off in preference. But the only use of adding them to your sheet is for the Plunged Into Chaos card AFAIK

Thank you very much for your quick answer! :)
