How would an interaction between the two be handled. Could you reveal and use expert handling to do the barrel roll and gain the benefit of its ability?

They do not interact other than that if you use BB-88's ability you will not be able to barrel roll again taking expert handling as your action. In addition, you still get stress from it if you don't have barrel roll in your action bar.

Bb8 doesn't give you the barrel roll action, it just allows you to perform barrel rolls.

So expert handling will still give you a stress.

And because you can't do the same action twice, and each upgrade says to do a barrel roll, while you can trigger them both you can only barrel roll once.

So if you reveal a green maneuver and bb8 to the right, and as your action you expert handling, you: don't roll, recieve a stress, and remove a target lock.

Essentially, Expert handling is its own action - the "Expert Handling" Action, which just happens to include performing a barrel roll, and then the second half about getting rid of a target lock. So, when BB-8 asks you to perform a Barrel Roll, you do just that - Perform the Barrel Roll, but NOT the second half of the Expert Handling card.

Only one type of action.

They don't actually gel well. BB8 let's you take a free barrel roll, as does Expert Handling. But BB8 cannot trigger EH,and you can only remove the target lock if you just performed the EH action. BB8 cannot be used in this way to strip target locks.

BB8 with Black One, however...

Yeah if you are going to use BB-8 on a T-70 you would be better off using the title. Expert Handling right now doesn't' work because first of all Target Locks were so restrictive you didn't need to remove them just stay out of arc and you would have the same effect.

Furthermore when Target locks became effective (Corran Horn, FCS+Gunner, U-boats) the target lock didn't happen in the activation phase where you could get rid of a target lock but instead in the combat phase where you have no chance of using an action.

The Expert Handling action gives you a free barrel roll action, same thing as BB-8, therefor you can't do both.

It's a matter of what you want it for.

If your looking to fight Omega Ace, EH is for you.

BB8 on wedge can drop behind a person moving across your front arc, however bb8 is free and not an action

Personally I like Generic R2 and EH on my Wedge, but it's up to you.
