There aren't many games where you can be 5-1-1 and place below 5-2s. FFG please get rid of modified wins!! MOV is already a crucial tie breaker so why double punish me! Why?????!

Thank you for recording and posting these! Modified wins always hurt and there were more than usual at nationals looking at the final standings. Lots of close games! I would have liked a 3rd round of swiss on Saturday to keep the competition going, but it was still fun.

Just a comment on the general quality? I had about 15 minutes to set things up while everyone was checking in, and about 2 minutes in between games to make adjustments, so it's not great. Just happy to have gotten anything at all!

Brunas, Keep me updated as we get closer to GenCon. I'm hoping to be a judge there as well so I may be able to help coordinate ahead of time to ensure we can get some high quality streaming.

Sure thing! This will be my first GenCon ever, so I'm not sure about an Internet connection there or anything. Probably safe to assume we won't have any luck there. I'll look into portable hotspots and such before then, XWing doesn't use TOO much bandwidth so it should be feasible if we can get good signal there.

Also, I wish I had realized you were the author of Cryodex at the time, there was so much going on at the time that I didn't put two and two together. Will have to buy you a drink or something next time!

Convention centers are notorious for how much they charge for basically anything. For example Baltimore Convention center wanted to charge $300 a day.... for a chair. Not even a chair with wheels. They charge for access to electricity, internet, water, carpet, pretty much everything.

But, If anyone already pays for a hotspot or something that would probably be an easier way to go.

Got any pics of the other cool X-wing events that were not just 1v1, 100/6 standard format tournaments? I think it would be interesting to see what a big convention like Origins had that other cons do not... something unique and visually interesting in a Star Wars-y way.

I feel you on that one. I went 5-1 (2 mod wins) at Regionals and missed the cut because 4 players that went 4-1-1 placed above me. Mod wins + Intentional draws ruined an otherwise successful day

Go for it! Fair warning that the turnout for Epic at Origins was 4 people, so there probably won't be too much, but as far as I know more are registered for GenCon

The overall quality is great .video and audio.

Just something is up with the lighting or the camera settings . It really wants to be washed out and blue.

But it's totally watchable. I'm enjoying it.
