After seeing Macross say
Since you are at Cygnus, could you do the Assault Gunboat (and maybe the Missile Boat) next?
Unfortunately, ships that small are difficult to scratch build, too damned fiddly, and besides, it would be easier and cheaper just to get 3D-printed versions of the ships.
I gave myself a challenge: Just build the Engine and Missile pods of a Gunboat just to see, how it turns out.
Well, it escalated and after about 3 hours I came up with this:

3 hours!!! ****! That would take me a year, and even then it wouldn't look as good.
I think we've found a challenger for Macross. Maybe we should have us a good ol' showdown.

When I talk about cost I mean what it would cost to commission a scratchbuild versus the cost of buying a 3D-printed model. I can really only speak for myself but if someone wanted to commission me to build an Assault Gunboat I would instead point them to the 3D model as it would be cheaper.
