Question - when attacking, if Jake uses a focus token from Esege does this then trigger Jakes ability? I have a feeling the answer is 'no' due to the wording of the cards but would be very happy to hear different.

The answer is no, since Jake does not perform a focus action nor is he assigned a focus token.

Garven Dreis or Kyle Katarn (pilot) however would be able to trigger Jakes ability should they pass a token to him.
