Nationals ... any word on who and what was played

By zhentil, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Hey there, is there any word on who and what were the National Lists.

FFG tweeted "Michael wins the 2016 #ImperialAssault National Championship with an Imperial trooper squad! " But that's the only info I've seen.

Pretty sure the winner posted in the "Nationals Kit" thread.

"...with an imperial trooper squad"...shocking. (slow clap)

oh i didn't see any lists posted in that thread. Still looking.

Nah, no lists, but you could PM the winner and check :)

This was the finals:

So 1st place:

x2 eStormtroopers w/ Cross-Training

eHeavy Stormtroopers w/ Targeting Computer]

Agent Blaise

x2 Imperial Officer

Zillo Technique

2nd:

x2 eRebel Troopers

eEcho Base Troopers

eRebel Sabs

Gideon

Alliance Smuggler

C-3PO

OT: Had almost the exact list planned for a Regionals tomorrow (except with the Heavies swapped out for an E-web) but wasn't a huge fan of Blaise in testing, think I may not've played him defensively enough though.

So I take it no one uses command decks in tournaments.

They are there. Just above the map you can see each.

So I take it no one uses command decks in tournaments.

Why, there are the decks shown in the picture, but I think people are more secretive about those as there is a lot of skill involved in command deck building.

No, it's just tedious to make command card lists, especially since at least 3/4 of a deck is shared between list archetypes.

Michael played Blazing Troopers. He had the good Agent, Troopers, Spies and Leaders. I wasn't at the event, but I can give you a fairly accurate approximation of his deck.

Planning

Take Initiative

Urgency

Fleet Footed

Espionage Mastery

Grenadier

Reinforcements

Reinforcements

Comm Disruption

Data theft

Intelligence Leak

Strategic Shift

Take whatever you like for the last three cards and three points, at this point it's largely down to personal preference - Field Tactician, Inspiring Speech, Maximum Firepower, Celebration, Expose Weakness, Hit and Run, Cut Lines...

Get the 0pt no-brainers and movement cards, match the traits and pick out the best/least situational cards, trim to 15/15. It's not Magic, there's not a billion different options and combos per trait.

This is fairly close, my complete command deck was:

Grenadier

Reinforcements x2

Lock On

Comm Disruption

Jump Jets

Negation

Tough Luck

Intelligence Leak

Deadeye

Element of Surprise

Urgency

Espionage Mastery

I'm planning on doing a full rundown of all of my matches from the day and my thoughts on how the list performed overall. I just need to stop being lazy and take the time to do it.
