So a Gozanti should (finally) be mine in the next few days in with that comes a fellow I've been after for a while: Wampa.
I want to run him in a list but really don't want to fly the shuttle. I love the Decimator so want to try a build with that.
Kenkirk with Palpatine and Ysanne Issard is my favourite core build for the Decimator at the moment. It can really last a long time and draw out the fight when he has 2 guaranteed evades a turn, so as a core start, I want to go with that.
As for the rest of it, I'm not sure what I want to do.
I could run:
Kenkirk - 44
Tactical jammer - 1
Predator - 3
Palpatine - 8
Ysanne Issard - 4
= 60
Wampa = 14
Omega Leader
Comm Relay
Juke
=26
This gives me an incredibly beefy tank who hits hard, that if left to the endgame will be a bugger to take down. With Omega Leader, who if left to endgame instead of the Decimator will be a bugger to take down. And Wampa, who I'd hope to hide behind the Tactical Jammer Decimator as much as possible (though accept with the PS differences and his nakedness this might be difficult).
Alternatively I could drop everything but the core I want on the Decimator and take some black cracks
Kenkirk - 44
Palpatine - 8
Ysanne Issard - 4
= 56
Wampa = 14
Black squadron - 14 x2
Crack Shot - 1 x2
= 30
Fire a total of 100.
I suppose this has more punch but given the low pilot skill the Blacks are quite likely to be taken out before they can shoot in many cases, particularly where I don't have initiative against U boats etc, and to be honest a Decimator vs U boars is likely to be taken down quickly regardless; but if they do live it has the advantage of more Dice plus crack shot and quite capable blockers to boot.
I suppose I should consider going with a generic Decimator + Palpatine to free up more points but I really want to make a build with Kenkirk work, so would really appreciate people's input. Cheers!
