Hey folks. So second tournament is coming up and I need some list advice. Two lists here, both heavy on the x-wings. I don't have access to all the cards unfortunately.

Here's the first!

Poe with BB8 and PTL

Wedge w/R2DR, integrated astromech and predator

Blue squadron t-70 w/R7 astromech and weapons guidance.

So in this list Poe does all sorts of Poe shenanigans with bb8 and PTL. Nothing like getting 3 actions a turn! R2D2 and integrated astromech are on wedge to give him a bit more survivability. I've found that Wedge is awesome, but just dies really easy. the R7 on the blue t-70 is to give him a bit of defense. Causing the attacker to reroll attack dice is always good.

Poe and wedge same as above.

blue squadron B wing w/accuracy corrector and ion cannon.

In this list the b-wing gets to be a bit tanky and hopefully ionize those tricksy imperial aces so poe and wedge can take them out in one good round of shooting.

Thoughts?

Used to play Wedge all the time in the far past , but he just falls too quickly in the modern game and lacks ability to re-position and get the most from his high pilot skill.

For what it is worth maybe put BB8 on Wedge so he can manoeuvre and R5P9 (I forget - the usual shield regenerate droid often paired with Poe? ) and drop the weapon guidance on the blue, that may give you points for auto thrusters on Poe and o f course an integrated astromech on the blue.

Unfortunately i don't have autothrusters or that other regen droid that comes with the rebel transport.

I kind of agree about wedge, I just love how good he is when that -1 agility thing works.

Just played a game. I replaced wedge with ello atsy. Had r2d2 and veteran instincts on him. Also took the bwing with ion cannon. Was against a ship scum list. Did pretty well, except i didn't land 1 ion shot all game. blargh.

I won, mainly due to the ninja moves of ello.

Any thoughts on changing out ptl on poe for predator? PTL gives him more actions but predator makes him hit more.

I can see Predator being better so you can hang onto that focus token for defense. Without Predator, you really want to target lock and focus wiyh your two actions. If you're boosting, though, Predator is nice to get some more offense. Trouble is, if you drop PtL and go for Predator, you'll usually want focus over boost anyway. Personally, I enjoy PtL on BB-8 Poe more than Predator, but that doesn't mean it's better. I just like it for the options. I can boost+focus if I need better positionkng. Or, if my positioning is fine, I can go focus+TL and do just as well - if not better - than Predator+focus.

The other thing about PtL is that it's really versatile. Usually you'll want to use it with BB-8 and a green maneuver to clear stress, but sometimes not barrel rolling and just taking the stress after you move is the right call. During other turns, you just don't activate either upgrade. It's really versatile.
