Double sided acrylic tokens?

So I'm back in the market for acrylics and after looking around I was wondering if anyone knew of any company/manufacturer that makes double sided focus and evade tokens (among others).

With every acrylic set I've owned there's always that slight annoyance of having to have them flipped the right way, where as the original carboard is nicely two-sided.

I have never seen anything like that. I am guessing they present a technical challenge to the manufacturers and would be very pricey. You also probably wouldn't want them on transparent acrylic as the designs on the reverse side would show through and not look great if they weren't perfectly lined up.

Would be a really cool feature though!

That's because laser etching something perfectly on both sides is an absolute pain in the arse to get right every time, and getting it wrong ruins a full sheet of acrylic (which is not at all cheap). Indexing the laser to etch the same design dead on the opposite side of the original is very tricky to set up, and even trickier to repeat en masse, especially if the design comes right to the edge of the cut.

With card, all you need worry about is making sure the sheets of design laminate are within a design tolerance of center to the opposite side (which is considerably easier in print). The punch die takes care of the rest.

I'm sure a few places might do it for you if you asked them, but expect to pay more for the service.

I don't know of any double sided acrylic tokens, but if you want something that does double duty +, have you looked at Mod Cubes. They are cubes that you can build with any assortment of tokens. They run around $30 for 8 cubes and all the tokens needed to fill them. I love mine because I can have TLs and focus tokens on the same cube. It beats trying to dig out tokens all the time when you are playing, since all you have to do is turn the cube to the side you need.

I've seen those and they do look neat, but I can't help but feel tokens are easier, given the number of combinations of tokens that come up in a game. I'd love to get a set to test out, though. The cost plus the shipping isn't great, though.

The mod cubes look cool but they look like they take up more room than just bringing individual tokens.

This store on Etsy offers double sided etching and a bunch of different acrylic colors (opaque and transparent) and several designs to chose from. I haven't seen what the double sided ones look like in person, but the single side etched tokens I have gotten from here had good resolution etching and you can't beat the pricing.
