Here in Washington state it's 67f and sunny. I gotta say, even when it's raining I love the northwest!
I'm not saying it's hot out today, but....
Lol....you guys go outside.
Whats that all about?
Can't help but pity people who live in America.
As a relocated Brit I understand your jingoism and misplaced frustrations but I am very curious as to why you feel that way?
Having moved around a lot and lived in various places, I can't help but pity anyone who has never lived outside their home country and having seen a lot more of the world than where I grew up, I genuinely pity Brits who want to stay in the UK.
I mean weather wise you either burn or freeze and occasionally you drown or a tornado gets you.
Just because it's up in the mountains you so don't want to get impression it's cooler :-) the mornings and winter yeah... but August (for example) felt way hot to this English bloke, Afternoon thunderstorms are awesome. Asheville is def a cool place to live though. Never mind the Newcastle brown ale logos on the side of the trucks that made one feel at home :-)
If you thought it was hot in Asheville, you hadn't been to the rest of the state! Ugh....

LOL. You make it sound like a continent the size of Europe has a single weather system that works to crazy extremes and as exciting as that sounds, it's not true.
But each to their own. Having grown up in the UK, I got tired of living in grey for 9 months each year and sought out sunshine ![]()
Typical British summer over here...I miss Portugal
Same here. Belgium seems to have developed a monsoon season. Gah!

My flat has a tendency to reach ~40°C in summer, I am lucky we aren't there, yet.
Edited by Admiral DeathrainAs mentioned in the other thread, just got back from iceland.
Its been stupidly sunny, for 24 hours a day which really puts a zap on your head.
In some areas like when we've been hiking we've needed proper mountain kit mainly because of the height and windchill, at sea was pretty rough and windy and cold too but in other areas its been vest tops and shorts weather.... but you always pack a goretex jacket because it can change in seconds!
This was on the North Coast line. I've got a thermal shirt, russian 'gorka' mountain suit on and North Face goretex over that and there was still a bit of a chill. I've got sunglasses on because it was stupidly sunny... and it was 2am in the morning!
Likewise out at sea watching seals on the rocks it was equally as sunny, cold and also very wet...hence the fetching orange outfit. That orange water proof was on top of the above stuff.
Then in contrast at Dimmu Borgir, a region of volcanic rock formations it was so hot I got a bit of sunburn, even while wearing factor 50 cream
*totally* the land of 'fire and ice'. I mean in the last pic at Dimmu Borgir we found pockets of snow in the caves so had a snowball fight in vest tops in June....
Back in the uk today it nice and sunny, not stupid hot but apparently while i was away my region had torrential downpours.
Here in the potteries it's grey with light winds and a solid chance of rain, it's glorious.
