Did you try to fly Soontir Fel against turrents before Autothrusters were released?? if yes then you know why mine is what it is
What's the origin of your username?
Mine was inspired from the game Pandemic and it's Bio-terrorist. I liked the name, and changed it to BioHunter, more fitting for star wars, and added my favorite numbers. ( Try Pandemic. It is a great game. Also has anyone played Pandemic: Legacy? I am not sure if I want to get it or not.)
If you like Pandemic, you'll most likely love Pandemic: Legacy. I'm a third of the way into it and cannot wait for the next session to continue it.
Mine was from when I was testing out some bits for X-Wing. Hence TryerImp. 'Trying Imperials'
Needed a name for some online game my friend wanted me to play with him. Favorite Pokémon and last initial.
Mine has its origins back in 2006, when I went by the name Lord_Castellan in an online game (taken from Warhammer 40k). That was abbreviated by friends to L_C and then just to LC. Some still just call me LC.
Anyway, after getting banned (I had a love-hate relationship with the moderators on that game and it's forum), I made an alias called ElSee. Obvious alias is obvious, but they let it slide and since then it stuck. Except the odd variation of NumElSee (used when ElSee is taken). This is a combination of ElSee and the Pokèmon Numel, which is a lazy, sleepy camel. As I used to sleep a lot, people gave me that nickname as well. And so NumElSee was born. So I have a few names, but they're all related!
Edited by ElSeeI used to build mechs out of LEGOs.,, before they started releasing packs specifically designed for that. 20 years ago in college I had a Battletech Locust I built out of LEGOs perched by the window in my college dorm.
I used to use the forum name Azathoth from way back (Prodigy chat rooms - yeah I'm old). Eventually that turned into Lord Azathoth when a wave of other Azathoths appeared (summoned by cultists?) but soon Lord Azathoth was showing up everywhere too.
Anyway, I started using LegoMech as an alternate since no one else seems to use it (yet). Since I'm happy to keep playing with LEGOs in my 40's it still applies now just as well as it did back in the 90's.
As an aside, my nephew built a LEGO tank that catapults motorcycles into combat and shoots flaming skull heads out of the cannon. It's so badass it incorporates a LEGO dragon not for combat but chained up and forced to breath into the engine for fuel. Boy those newer LEGO kits really give these kids some crazy options today!
I try to write fiction. I pull a lot of names from the Aether. Norgrath was one of the early ones and I started using it as an online Alias.
Older teenager, back in the early days of BBS. Small group of us hanging out in a soccer field, three guys, three girls. All three of the girls were upset about something (each different), and had gone off to corners of the field to basically sulk. I didn't want the evening ruined, and I'm a bit of a problem-solver, so I kept going from one to the other to try to draw them out and help them. One of the guys watched me for a while bouncing from one to another and said "I know what your handle should be: Independant Traveller. You just keep walking." (Name misspellings were mine--which was odd, because normally avoiding typos is a bit of a point of pride with me.) Over the next few years I dropped the Traveller and embraced the misspelling to IndyPendant, and that's been my online identity for over twenty years now.
The somewhat amusing part of the story was that one of the girls was upset because she had a massive crush on me--but I didn't seem to be interested in her. (I actually had no clue.) So this poor girl has me earnestly asking her what's wrong, please tell me, maybe I can help... A couple years later, still clueless, I develop an intense crush on...her best friend! Ask her friend out--who doesn't return the feelings. (The rejection was actually rather kindly conducted.) Through girlish background machinations (again, only learned about long after the fact, so clueless) they eventually guide me to ask the first girl out instead. Nice girl, but we just weren't really compatible, and after six months or so we split up reasonably amicably.
Eventually found out like everybody was in on all the background drama but me. So clueless.
Mine is a logo from an old PlayStation game called armoured core. It featured giant robots smashing each other up.The logo was a bunny girl riding a bomb. My cousin hated it, so me being basically a troll made my robot a giant pink bunny with ears, and went on to crush anything he tried to make. There after I made every customisieble character in any multiplayer a bunny, just to annoy him.
It's the name of an old but still absolutely fantastic Czech point and click adventure and some overlap with my last name. It loosely translates to "cop" meant in a more positive way.
In it at some point you need to climb into a window of a house. This is because you need to interrogate a witness who is and old, mostly death man. His hearing aid fell into an aquarium with a piranha in it. His wife won't open the door because she thinks you're just one of his friends trying to sneak him out to go play cards in a pub.
So you go buy a messenger eagle (you read that right the first time - a messenger eagle), get some paving stones, put them in a box, write the address and the floor # on a card, tie it off with long string and have the eagle deliver the package. You then climb up the string.
Also this guy's really pissy about you taking his cardboard box from his front porch:

In Warhammer 40K I play Eldar. Solid player at that, and Eldar weren't that common. I was introduced to two things some time ago, one was the 40KOnline Forum and the other was Ron White -Drunk in Public (a stand up comedian).
In one tale, he speaks of when he dropped his car in for a service and as he drove out, the tyre of his car rolled off and went in the other direction, and he referred to the person as 'the tyre guy'.
About a Level 5 on the Obscuratron Scale (the level of how obscure a reference is).
So therefore I'm TheEldarGuy, and I have used it as my stage name ever since.
I like Spiderman, and i come from New Zealand, it is pretty much linked to all my Online accounts, PS4, battlenet, etc
My family used to breed parakeets (actually budgerigars), and it was the duty of my brother and I to play with them every day so we could sell them to the pet shop (tame birds sell for more). During that time, my brother had to write a story for his middle school English class, and decided to write about giant monster birds: the mighty Budgernaut and its terrifying counterpart, the Parakitor. Out of one of the clutches we bred, my brother and I each got to pick one bird to keep, and we decided that those made up names would be perfect them. When we eventually started getting the Internet in our home, we decided those would be our virtual identities, and they have been ever since.
Incidentally, as twins we have the same initials, except for the middle initial: mine is a P, and his is a B, which is kind of a cool coincidence.
Mine harkens back to the old SWCCG from Decipher. I'm not sure why but I decided to make my user name after that one, imaginary guy who you knew just couldn't quite hack being a TIE pilot. So my user ID for their forums was DS-000-0, the Flight School Dropout (yeah, they allowed really long user IDs).
As time has gone on, I've had to adjust it to fit certain criteria as some boards will only allow certain characters or lengths for user names.
So FSD = Flight School Dropout
Joined this forum seven years ago, long before my X-Wing/Imperial Assault/Armada craze.
Back then it was all about Twilight Imperium and I think I created the account as I had a question concerning the Embers of Muaat, hence the name and the avatar. Nowadays I find it somewhat crude, but on the other hand I wouldn't want to change my name or re-registrer, as it would obliterate my history on these boards.
"Vollie" is a Mix from my lastname "Volbracht" and the german word "Voll" (eng. = "wasted" or "drunk"), garnished with an "ie" (eng. = "y") for better pronunciation.
I could tell you where my name comes from but it is a very long story...
Kris
Suspense. I like it!
Name of an alien race I made up for my own setting during my teenage years... used it as my internet handle since I started posting on things like this.
My nick comes since i started to play Battletech in the 2nd edition (around 1989/90).

My kind of retaliation for killing a leader.
My motto is "if brute force dont solve your problems then youre not using enough..." (works very well in games but not so much in life).
Also when a second nick is required I use Kodiak (hence Kentares Kodiak) because its my favourite Battletech mech (in fact I use it in my Mechwarrior Online account).
Edited by KentaresI was creating a pen and paper RPG character (in Rolemaster, if that matters) and was looking through a baby book for names- Nu'Sair was stated to mean bird of prey which suited the character pretty well.
Mine's from my Necromancer from Diablo II.
He was good at robbing graves. ![]()
Should be fairly obvious.
I read a metric **** ton of EU novels in high school and am from Austria.
TADAAA!
Mine is because I really love the Dragonball Z anime series.
