A Dengaroo list won, beat my triple jumps in the finals.

They made it sound like it was one big jumpmasterfest... But out of the 64 players, there were 3 triple jump lists, 2 Dengaroo, one Dengar/Tel and 2 partybus/dual jump lists. That is only 8 of 64 players. It just turns out that 4 of the people people who are usually doing well at tournaments made the cut with a jumpmaster in their list. I actually think the number of people flying a ghost was higher.

The other question, while maybe 8 out of 64 people Had humpmasters, how many scum players were there that DIDNT have jumpmasters in them? And like alexw said, what makes the cut is far more important than what is brought overall. If half the people in the tournament being 6 naked hwks, that doesnt make it a good list.

Ya I'm gonna go ahead and stand by my assessment of tournament results since Wave 8s release and say the Jumpmaster is undercosted by at least 2 points. Thanks for the reminder Dutch nationals that I need to stick by that. xD

That's my sentiment. People so easily forget the pain of previous power house lists...

Haha! I guess it's a matter of which side of the fence you're on. I LIKED Wave 5 and Wave 6 B Wings, PWT, Soontir but not Palp + Soontir. Phantoms slightly nerfed. Things felt...better?! Wave 7 is where some things got crazy me thinks.

Phantom nerf didn't come till wave 6, I'm biased but wave 6 was definitely the high point of my x wing career. 2B2Y rebel control 4 life!

Rebels had a huge presence at the Dutch nationals. Of the 6 games I played, 5 were against rebels - 4 Ghost lists and one A-Wing swarm. I don't know the numbers exactly, but it looked like there was more Rebel than Imperial there.

EDIT: And looking at the actual data, turns out I was very wrong. Guess I got lucky (or unlucky) getting matched against so many rebels.

Against lower PS, Manaroo goes in the opposite corner and advances forward while Dengar confronts the enemy. Against higher ps, Manaroo usually starts in my left corner, advancing along my own board edge, getting behind Dengar. With carefull play on the current meta, I don't think you need engine.

I know Sacha Glitz made some videos of some matches, but not the final. I don't know if he plans to post them on youtube.

Any way you could give us an in depth battle rep, id like to hear how your matches went. Also how do you do vs palp defenders? (have been debating making some changes to my dangeroo list after nova, never considered cutting eu, but always open to ideas)

Congratulations to everyone who didn't take a Jumpmaster or Palpatine to their national champs. You are the true heroes and probably the better players.

Increasingly, I find myself not really caring who finished top as It seems it is usually going to be won by a broken netlist list with a low skill floor and a player who won the initiative/dice off in the mirror matches.

Tried watching some streams but got bored with the card games and fell asleep. Wake me up when someone fixes this nonsense.

If i may ask u, how does this compare to the "normal" version with eu?. (I am a newer player and havent yet had the fun of playing against a lot of the meta lists, or a lot of the major list archetypes.)

Ugh, why would you want to watch those match-ups?

Literally the only ship to make it into the Top 4 was the Jumpmaster 5000. I realize it's only the Dutch Nationals, but still...yawn. I'm really surprised Howard Aces didn't clean house with that Top 8, it's favored against both Dengaroo and Triple Scouts.

I'm really disappointed that someone should refer to it as "only the Dutch Nationals" in what appears to be a derogatory way. I hope that wasn't the intention but unfortunately that's how it read to me.

I'm sure the winner and indeed all the top players in Swiss had to fly well to get to that top 8 cut.

The meta is whatever the meta is, wherever you play. There are differences in Europe from the US that's very clear, but let's not get to the stage of running down events in other countries because they are different to our own perceived meta, as a community we are surely better than that.
