Are any of his matches viewable? I am especially interested in the game against the boats because I had always thought Uboats took out quad TLT pretty handily.

The champ really predicted his opponent well and had some hot red dice to boot, while the jumpmasters were rolling evades all the time but had trouble rolling hits once the torpedoes were fired.

Hah, true, but in the current meta, quad TLT vs Scouts in a pure dice-off really doesn't look good for the TLTs on paper.

I'm just thrilled to see something, anything, besides palp aces and jumpmaster crap of choice win major tournaments.

I think the trip defender list is awesome too if for no other reason it's competitive with 3 ships and only 2 cards per ship. Easy to move at tables I would think and a nice slimfast punch in the face to fatty card laiden sows.

Haha! I guess it's a matter of which side of the fence you're on. I LIKED Wave 5 and Wave 6 B Wings, PWT, Soontir but not Palp + Soontir. Phantoms slightly nerfed. Things felt...better?! Wave 7 is where some things got crazy me thinks.

If Rey with Finn puts Falcons back on the top table it'll be a world of difference from the old style Falcons people hated so much. Both Rey and Finn demand that you care deeply about manoeuvring as their abilities demand that you keep people in arc to get any benefit at all. Simply boosting past as many ships as possible and taking your shots regardless just won't cut it for them.

Oh come on, it will be a Falcon that cares a lot about its arc (as in "Oh, I roll virtually 4 attack dice with one free reroll and when you shoot back I have 1-3 evades because when I 3PO I can still reroll 2 blanks"). Flying like a standard Falcon its an underwhelming ship that is outdamaged by pretty much everything. For a Star Wars game, the Millenium Falcon is a requirement. For a good game, its not the onewe used to have, but this one looks promising.

Remember, its maybe viable, it won't be 40-60% of the meta.
