I can't beleive DHars beated the 4 tlt twice! Go and bring it home! Are the games being recorded?

Anyone surprised by rebels showing up wasn't really paying attention or seriously understimated their position in the meta. 2 Ghosts & 1 Y might be a tricky one, but 40 "hit points" it could be extremely though to chew for lot of lists while still bringing serious firepower.

And Dhars list on paper is probably the strongest list of the meta since FAQ happened. I've been saying (and showing) it since end of june. Keep saying rebel regen is gone lol

Don't underestimate the VCX-100s. :D

I tried double ghosts but I could only manage about .500 play over Hoth Open and some smaller tournaments.

I made 17th with my Tel/Bossk list

Final is very back and forth.

Until that bump … I would say the VCX were winning, even when had been close. Now? They are in trouble.

Looking bad for Francois.

EDIT: Looking very bad for Francois. That's gonna be a dead Y-wing.

EDIT: Or not.

LOL ZUCKUSS. Them gold squadron greens are unstoppable.

Looks like an easy block.

EDIT: Wrong again. Good prediction from Marcel.

The YV-666 player has had the worst dice all game. It should be over by now.

His opening engagement was worse, but he has been flying better than his opponent the rest of the game.

(what, time was called?? how anti-climactic, I guess they were playing really slow)

All hail YV-666 with Dengar as the new META

I'll say this, in true Chicago fashion, everyone who sat down and saw the Y-Wings made the 'Malort face'. It was disappointment, disapproval, and revulsion. :)

Mmmmmmmm....malort.....

I like the Wes/Biggs/Corran list, but I hated R3A2 in it. I dropped that for either Targeting Astromech (I do a LOT of K turns with Wes) or R7T1 (not bad at PS10, but you have to drop Corran to Adaptability). I decided to give R7T1 some time in the spotlight.

My losses were a Final Salvo (Corran vs Ghost / Y) and the mirror (his Corran got blinded pilot on my Corran, so his lived when mine didn't!).

I dropped from the second day to go play Imperial Assault instead - I didn't like having the entire day be single elimination when I start at 4-2!

I feel that sometimes I convince myself I need R3A2 for those times you catch Whisper or Soontir, but those greens on the T65 dial sometimes hand Wes a death sentence.

I too find that Wes does tons of K turns, so want to try the TA.

I've used BB8 a fair bit on Wes for some decent return too, plus I love that little guy, the extra mobility is welcome on that poor dial.

I don't know, while it's true that Wes does lots of K, I feel that the stressbot is kinda needed to keep up the pressure on your opponent and force him to target Wes before Corran.

It also adds the control option to the list, which is always nice to have.

dhars' 9-0 record in Swiss with his R3A2 version of that list suggests that K-turns on Wes are something that you probably plan to use in limited quantities.

You know, honestly, I don't use it R3A2 frequently. I would prefer targetting astromech or bb8 about 95% of the time. However, those rarely win me games, while R3A2 really can change the game, when I tag whisper or soontir with an extra stress, or stop a pesky PTL manaroo for doing her magic. I think I used the stress 3 times or so the entire tournament, but when I did, it was a game changer.

Exactly, people have to take out Wes before Corran and Corran is a strong closer. Also, the pressure on some ships is insane from an extra stress.

The dial is pretty awful, that is why I rarely use R3-A2. I only really use it, when I have a plan.

I played a game this week using Corran/Wes/Biggs (I've used loads of 40ish point ships alongside W&B for most of this year, I think Poe is my favourite, but I wanted to get Corran out again).

I was playing v Brobots, and I think I used the stress from R3A2 twice. Once I remembered after the fact that I forgot to do it when it would have been helpful, so potentially three times.

Those situations were where I'd focussed all three ships into a joust with 1 IG and applying the stress meant that he couldn't K turn or sloop out of the joust while Biggs and Corran were able to.

So I know what you mean, it's something for the right situation, not for all situations.

Nordic Championship was held in Uppsala, Sweden, Aug 13-14. Results on ListJuggler. There was an intense final between Dengaroo and Palp Aces that the latter won after a long struggle, video battle report will come.
