No, you can still use them during the same attack. The change is that R4 agromech does not give you a TL off of firing a torpedo with deadeye because you don't have a target at that point in the attack.

The OCR4-Plasma builds still work and have the same 71% chance of putting out a 4-result attack. The change is that you no longer get the R4-Protons that jack that up to ~94%.

I mean, it's a huge change

not only do you not get re-rolls + proton focus for uber torps, but thanks to OCR4 stress you don't get to torp and then white seggys to consecutive torp (or consecutive torp if you move anywhere but foward or to the left really)

I'm surprised they're just...not there, though. Torps still hurt A LOT and ye ole torp scout list (which used to have two OCR4s anyway; 1 r4 aggro) you can replace the defunct r4 aggro scout with anything from 3 Zs to Zuckuss to palob etc. I've taken post-FAQ torp scouts and, while they aren't nearly as steam-rolly as ye old R4 aggro, they're still incredibly powerful and flexible (feedbacks, son!) and they just run right through Dengaroo

Maybe gencon is more casual? After all, there were very few scouts in the more casual vassal tournie, where it seemed people wanted to try out new potentially competitive lists (including dengaroo) rather than default to scouts again

You can still use the TL you acquired from R4 agromech to modify the same attack in which you acquired it, but if you have, say, R4 agro and 2 focus tokens, you cannot then use the second focus token after you use the first to get your TL from r4 agro.

Top 4 is 2 scum and 2 rebels. Only 2 palp aces in top 8. One had Ryad. Not sure if the top 8 Dengaroo is still in. Other scum lists were 4tlt and sensor brobots.
