Are they going to be like the new changed bases or the original ones cause they certainly won't fit old and new properly at the same time. I can't understand why they changed them.

Change of factories is the simplest answer. It was not exactly something they decided to do.

We've got a confirmation of June 30th for the release from my FLGS.

(And my FLGS is the FFG Game center, soooooo...............)

Molding is more art than science. You can dial in the exact same settings on two injection molding machines beside each other, and get different tolerance results, nevermind different factories.

The most likely cause of the difference is a new series of molds created for the new factory because they didn't have the same machines, so the old molds were incompatible. It could also have been a change in resin manufacturer, and the resultant post mold expansion properties weren't accounted for/checked correctly.

Different resin feels right, since the new stuff looks clearer than the old ones.

Ok so the new coloured bases are going to garbage for the older ships then is what you are saying - lol.

There is such a thing as quality control and to be that far out is not within tolerance.

So now its "on the truck" which is a Swift truck....and anybody that pays attention to the road knows Swift trucks are not swift....god they are the worst offenders of going under the speed limit lol.

I'm confused, which isn't unusual for me, but are the new bases not compatible with existing released ships?
