zuckuss + attanni mindlink + rec spec

this seems like a decent combo. has anyone tried it?

its only 32pts. which leaves ample options for support ships with mindlink.

off the top of my head im thinking mindlinked IG-88B with mangler cannon and AT

still points left for a mindlinked N'dru

has anyone seen a list like this in action?

giving other ships as well as yourself double focus seems strong.

focus + focus + evade on IG-88 with AT every turn? thats some beefy defense right there.

have mindlink lists caught on yet? im not seeing many do well in tournaments, have you?

That's not how mind link works. Recon Specialist doesn't trigger if you get a token from the mind link, and does nothing to other ships you are mind linked to.

You cannot give away multiple focus/stress tokens via mindlink, a ship gets one (!) if it doesn't have one already.

If you want to stick with this idea, though, I'd suggest outlaw tech on Zuckuss and also Manaroo instead of IG (Manaroo can give away his focus and still get the focus back via mindlink, also sheds stress easier with the proper bot). Guri and Palob are also good for mindlink builds.

In general, good mindlink ships are those that really benefit from extra actions (like Zuckuss, whose ability really shines if he can TL + focus each shot), provide extra ways to get a focus (Guri/Palob) and also those that do not stress easily (Jumpmaster with white sloop). I'm not really sure if N'Dru fits that description.

Manaroo is female. She is Dengar's wife. The art for Attanni Mindlink shows a female of Manaroo's species and may be an artist's rendition of Manaroo as a character.

Manaroo + Rec Spec is a much stronger combo in the line of what you're looking for. It even leaves her EPT free so you can load her up with the standard contracted scout kit at the same time, one of the top 8 from our regionals had a Manaroo configured this way.

Attani Mindlink is in a potentially strong place right now given the general absence of stress output lists, at least around here, but even with some strong experimentation on my end I wasn't able to cobble together much that really benefited from the edge on action economy. (I ran a Talonbane + Zuckuss + Manaroo list for a while with Talonbane and Manaroo mindlinked, with the logic that it would free Talonbane's action bar and allow Manaroo to transfer to Zuckuss constantly - ultimately the list felt very powerful, but was such a technical loadout with how it was built that flying it multiple times became very exhausting, much like Palp Aces)

we're also talking focus stacking on a 1 agi ship...really not worth your time there

You don't want Zuckuss to be the one taking the focus when it comes to the Mindlink, in my experience - you want him taking an evade, receiving the focus and getting rerolls via Dengar or FCS.

What if, instead of Zuckuss, you used 4-Lom. That way if your other ship(s) stress, he can give it away at the end of combat (distance dependent) like it never happened..

It's nice in theory but 4 lom wants to be stressed where as although mind link isn't as weak to stress as people seem to think you don't want to intentionally stress yourself as much as 4 lom likes to, so zuckass has the better ability to make the most of the link. Been playing with various mink link lists for a while and this is the next evolution of it

Probably going to Change the mild crow title for dengar but love having a good amount of focus on palob so it's hard to move away from

For the 30th time, just fly Brobots with Mindlink and FCS, it's great.

I don't understand the need to "chase" this ability and build your whole squad around it. Just slap it on Brobots.

So let's say you have Zuckuss, an IG, and Ndru or Kaatos Leechos. I can kill the Z-95 in a turn, then I can kill Zuckuss soon after. Now it's an IG and a half against one of yours.

What use are extra focus tokens on ships that die easily? They can't use it defensively very well, and since they die quickly they leave the other Mindlink ships in your list out in the cold.

Question: An Agressor, or Zuckuss and a Z-95?

(I jest, but in all seriousness, Aggressors are old news and Zuckuss is the new hotness, so obviously people want to fly their new ships.)
