Tagge vs Demo

By Jondavies72, in Star Wars: Armada

Just had a thought on Tagge, that beginning of turn three and turn five return of a defence token is a perfect little nerf to a last/first Demo. As generally you will be looking to start your demo run on round two, strip the brace and finish them off with two full broadsides in round three. Then reposition and start another last/first attack on your next victim in round four. The timings on the tokens returns means you have to have one more of you trip attacks braced or delay your attack run to start at round three. This would mean even a VSD would have reasonable odds on surving a demo first strike. Interesting.......

Indeed, its quite the tactic.

But then again, demo is being forved to run with nav officer anyway...

Very true, then add wave four shenanigans and it's going to become quite an art form to push forward a Demo attack...

Not necessarily. Demo is going last, so Comms Net easily passes a token over to activate just before it activates. Basically, you'll have to out-activate it.

Demo is getting options to continue running, you just have to plan around it better and that's a more effective fix. The issue wasn't Demolisher doing all of these things, it was Demo setting up this ridiculous combo that required no outside preparation. Now Demo has to have an option in case someone screws over the command stack. And it does.
